Students and teachers at Julia R. Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School began the school year with the ultimate back-to-school pep rally on Tuesday. President Obama delivered a speech to students at the highly-ranked Philadelphia magnet school, which was named a 2010 national “Blue Ribbon School.” Last year, the president delivered a back-to-school speech about the importance of staying in school and the merits of education, topics he reprised in this year’s address. For even more Fox lies… This is how the White House capped off a “Reality Check” on their website earlier today responding to commentary on the Fox News Network regarding the President’s trip to Copenhagen to lobby for the Olympics to come to Chicago in 2016. Rahm Emanuel, the Chief of Staff famous for storming across the House floor to condemn Congressman Joe Wilson calling the President a liar, is ultimately responsible for the website’s content, so is this the case of selective civility? Of course.

Although the United States does have a huge deficit problem we can’t afford not to fix, the Obama administration is focusing on the wrong aspect in trying to create a new federal health program. Congress needs to address spending for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid — all programs that have existed for decades — that is primed to explode. Two weeks ago, we alerted you to an event invitation on President Barack Obama’s ongoing campaign website, barackobama.com, which used startling language to describe the opposition.
