  • Baltimore Ravens Get Taxpayer Dollars to Promote Obamacare

The contract between the Baltimore Ravens and the Maryland Health Connection, the state’s Obamacare insurance exchange, details exactly what $130,000 in taxpayer money will go to: Obamacare promotions.

The agreement, published Tuesday by Judicial Watch, calls for the team to promote Obamacare through ads on its stadium Jumbotron and its flagship websites, social media, and  positive plugs in its fan newsletter. The Ravens will also utilize the team’s social media platforms, television, and radio audiences to leverage advertisements.

    The Daily Mail reports:

The Obamacare exchange will receive at least two featured segments on all 17 weekly broadcasts of Ravens Report, a game-recap show that airs on WBAL Plus-TV and Comcast SportsNet, along with a wide slate of radio ads before and after games. The team is also slated to deliver a two-week ad campaign on its Facebook page, along with 5 tweets to its 382,000 followers.

With HealthCare.gov being a total failure, multiple implementation delays, and several angry Americans who are realizing how much their premiums are going up, it’s no surprise the Administration is trying everything they can to help save Obamacare.

Bottom line — American tax dollars should not be going to promotions of this unaffordable, unworkable, and unfair law. Help us spread the word and share the graphic below.
