Overcoming the Digital Divide: What Conservatives Must Do to Win

Robert Draper’s New York Times Magazine article [1] last month spurred debates and discussions among conservatives about the role of digital media in politics. It revealed the frustrations of movement conservatives and political operatives about the results of the 2012 election. Technology, data and analytics were once again part of the conversation last week with the Republican Party’s retrospective report.

What are conservatives doing in response? Is innovation the answer? Does the problem extend beyond the apparent digital divide?

We’ll tackle those questions and others at the Bloggers Briefing on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at noon ET. The Heritage Foundation has invited a panel of leading thinkers to examine how conservatives can overcome these challenges and what they must do to win the battle of ideas in the future.

Our speakers include:

Robert Draper, Contributor, The New York Times Magazine (@DraperRobert [2])
Patrick Ruffini, President, Engage (@PatrickRuffini [3])
Ben Domenech, Editor, The Transom (@bdomenech [4])
Kristen Soltis Anderson, Vice President, The Winston Group (@KSoltisAnderson [5])
Justin Hart, Digital Strategist (@justin_hart [6])
Alex Lundry, Vice President and Director of Research, TargetPoint Consulting (@alexlundry [7])

The briefing will be webcast on Heritage’s Livestream channel [8].
