Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) joins us for today’s Bloggers Briefing. He’ll share his thoughts on the State of the Union, balancing the budget, and anything else that’s on his mind.
Price is a standout conservative leader on Capitol Hill, having served as chairman of both the House Republican Policy Committee and Republican Study Committee. Prior to coming to Congress, he was an orthopedic surgeon and is a strong advocate for empowering patients, not government, with health care decisions.
Following his comments, we’ll hear from Johnny Russell at the Institute for Energy Research on the revenues that can be gained by opening federal lands for oil and gas development [1]. This is one common-sense way to tackle the massive U.S. debt problem, detailed in IER’s latest report, “Beyond the Congressional Budget Office.
