    2. Rick says:

God bless you Senator Jim DeMint . I know if anyone can save our country you will apart of it .

    3. Steve says:

Great choice of DeMint, who will lead the Heritage Foundation with conviction and vision, no doubt. The times we live in demand clarity and a leader of Sen. DeMint's pedigree will continue a solid path, providing the practical application of the principles of good government under God, instead of a government that views itself as a god! Best wishes to Sen. DeMint.

    4. L. Rowe says:

As one of millions who still sometimes, five weeks after the election, wakes up in the morning feeling sucker-punched, this news of Jim DeMint leading the Heritage Foundation is welcomed indeed. It's time for conservatives to get up off the mat and get back to the business of restoring the basic tenets of the founding fathers.

    5. connie bartee says:

Oh Jim, you're a beautiful swan to me. America is going to miss you in the senate. I'm glad you've moved to Heritage. This is a great fit.

Strength in numbers,We need to be strong.

    9. David burnett says:

YES!!! Now if Me DeMint can get the right leaning senators more aware of how they can learn from and use the Heritage Foubdation (like telling their constituents about it!) maybe we can forge some REAL AMERICANS out of the "middle mush" and turn this ship around.

    10. freedom says:

I hope instead of simply raising age of eligibility or other tinkering about Medicare and Social Security, I hope Senator DeMint will use his post at Heritage to push for real entitiement reform, privatizing these two programs for younger Americans.
Also, I want us to stress that traising tax rates does not bring in more money to the government.
I also want to stress that the filthiest four letter word in the English language is FAIR when it comes from the mouth of a politician.

Big Government Is NOT the Answer

Your tax dollars are being spent on programs that we really don't need.
