  • The Full Script for Matt Damon's UAE-Funded Anti-Fracking Film

In September, Scribe reported that Promised Land, a forthcoming film written by and starring Matt Damon, is financed in part by the oil-rich United Arab Emirates. The script for the film has now been leaked, and is embedded below.

Journalists Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney obtained the script and posted it on the Facebook page for their documentary on the country’s ongoing oil and gas boom, FrackNation.

As McAleer reported in the New York Post in September, the script presents an hysterical environmental activist as the tool of oil companies looking to both exploit a rural Pennsylvania town for its energy resources and dupe the town’s residents into dismissing legitimate environmental concerns.

Phelim McAleer – fracking shill! Personally I'm doubtful the script is the final version.

    2. Boy, talk about a tool! Matt Damon — tool extraordinaire!

A useful idiot for the UAE. And well paid, I'm sure!
