  • WORD CLOUD: Biden and Ryan at the Vice Presidential Debate

With countless forums, panels and analyses following the first presidential debate last week, Thursday’s showdown between Vice President Biden and Representative Paul Ryan was even more anticipated than imagined.

Heritage has created two word clouds: one generated for Biden’s remarks and another for Ryan’s. These visual depictions, which make the most-used terms larger, are helpful tool for comparing and contrasting, analyzing remarks and provide insight.

      Where's "Giggle"?

    4. Chris says:

When Joe mocked Ryan for asking for stim. money for Wisconsin, (which any politician would do for his state if he knew the money was available,) Joe acted like it was his money, hanging it over a poor beggar looking for a like some big business man. Hey Joe, remember, the money you are giving away is our money, which you are going to tax our children and grandchildren to death for!

    5. Lloyd Scallan says:

Just about what we expected with the acceptation of Biden making a better "pit bull" than we thought. His arrogance, condescension, and rudeness was right out of Saul Alinski's hand book. Ms. Raddatz proved how a leftist moderator can be useful to distract and divert a candidate (but not the leftist candidate) from the conversation, in particular when the moderator is a supporter and friend of Obama and working under his instructions.

    6. jbt says:

      They left out "giggle".

    7. franktrades says:

A side-by-side list with numerical values would be more instructive than these "clouds".

No surprise who has faith in people and not government control over people. Why we left the democratic party! Mr. Biden was insistent on government control. He won’t give to charity freely. He wants to increase taxes on the rich so he can get a cut. The rich are charitable with no strings attached. Going through government gives government a cut reducing that charitable amount then uses discrimination in favor of government’s own charity of whatever sorts! Democrats want to tax the rich for more control over us ALL!! Government is not charity!

O’reilly and Stewart’s debate I only saw clips on, had Jon Stewart saying he wants the government to help people that aren’t helping themselves? Why isn’t Jon Stewart helping them without having them go through the hassle of government degradation? It’s so sad these 1%ers want government to do their charity!!!

Joe Biden says he’s a practicing Catholic, that he goes to church every Sunday! I’m not sure what practicing Catholics use their position to cheat America(ns) and blatantly lie while cutting off the words of Mr. Ryan who was explaining specifics everyone wanted to know. Yet the people of the democratic party applaud Joe Biden for his disrespect in disallowing Mr. Ryan’s full explanation. Barely allowing truth a chance. Mr. Ryan had numbers that everyone claimed they wanted to hear yet now they say his numbers were confusing them? Why wouldn’t they? Democrats screwed the system so bad it takes a real man with integrity to figure things out! If Joe Biden was true to his faith, he would be encouraging freedom and self reliance, not government control. He’s a fraud like the rest. Martha was unfair and bias but democrats aren’t strong on facing truth so she must not be either.
