One Response to Online Chat on the Embassy Attacks

    1. Gordon says:

A recent Heritage article mentioned that government employees work much less than those in the civilian world. Happily, the study apparently included local and state employees as well as Federal.

Any future study should include the Foreign Service, both Americans and foreign nationals. Many work 60 hours in a normal week and much more in hectic times — rarely with any additional pay. Do you think the Regional Security Officers in the middle east are working 40 hours this week? Only a few FS people die for their jobs, but many do suffer injuries and diseases from living in the places they're assigned.

Don't lump Foreign Service in with your bogus "study." DMV, Congress and your local mayor's office are NOT the same as serving in Libya, Yemen, Kenya or Cambodia.

Big Government Is NOT the Answer

Your tax dollars are being spent on programs that we really don't need.
