Taxmageddon is coming. Sounds like a tagline for a horrible movie, but unfortunately it is quite real. Unless congress acts, taxes will be going up for everybody. Click here to join us right now for our “Lunch with Heritage” chat. We are joined by Heritage’s Senior Tax Policy Analyst Curtis Dubay and he is taking your questions about how much your taxes will be going up and anything else related to “Taxmageddon.”

I have a mtg that cannot be missed at the same time. Will you archive this and
Make it available?
My question: what is the latest timeframe that the bush tax cuts can be extended
By Congress and impact prior to January ( for our tax returns)?
This country is broken and President Obama is running the wrecking ball!
Yes, 'history' does repeat itself! Maybe that is why it is 'almost' taught in our schools today. During the first 19 years of the 20th Century, my parents witnessed political and consequently military events, which displaced them and millions of Europeans throughout the World (maybe except the U.K.). Books have been written about the successes of European immigrants to the Unuted States, (Sarnoff-R.C.A.; Sikorsky- helicopters; Seversky – P-47 fighter; and many others. Please review Prof. Matthew J. Slaughter. op-ed in the WSJ 6/21/2012 pg A17.

In my opinion, the Congress and Senate should be comprised of "real" people, working "real" jobs as their primary source of income. We need to diminish the career politician because the reach for power is corrupting everyone of the "Royals" in Washington. This in and of itself would decrease the budget as it would decrease the tendency to "rule" based on self interest and backroom deals with special interest and Wall Street.
