  • Online Chat on the Broken Congress

Congress is broken. There are rules that have been abused by the leadership in the Senate that make it difficult for all members to participate.  It is unfair and needs to be fixed.  Click here to join us right now for our “Lunch with Heritage” online chat. We are joined by Brian Darling, Senior Fellow for Government Studies, and he is taking questions on his new paper Tyranny in the United States Senate.  He will be take questions on how the recent events in Wisconsin will impact policy on Capitol Hill.

    1. Congress doesn't have a problem spending 1.5 trillion dollars a year they don't have. I wouldn't call that broken. And the looming cuts and tax increases will be kicked down the road because both sides will agree let someone else handle this. And another 1.5 trillion borrowed and spent. That ain't broken in my book.

Senator Harry Ried has not passed a budget in three years which is a violation of the law. Why has he not been impeached.

    3. Victor Williams says:

So many of these leftists/socialists/marxists have done extreme harm to our nation. They expect to gather up their ill gotten gains and snipe at us from the bushes as has been their custom over the last fifty years.
      My question :
At the risk of creating a witchhunt, will there be an official effort to go after those people who have attacked and ignored our Constitution, lied to and misled the American people and Congress, commited criminal acts and weakened our country? No amount of prison time is too much for these scoundrels.

    4. Bill Duffy says:

Could someone please lay out exactly how if Obamacare is scraped the system will work for the average individual?

Big Government Is NOT the Answer

Your tax dollars are being spent on programs that we really don't need.
