  • Online Chat on Obama's Appointments

Obama made a big splash last week when he appointed a new head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and three appointments to the National Labor Relations Board without confirmation of the Senate even though they were technically in session. These appointments were an abuse of presidential power. Click here to join us right now for our “Lunch with Heritage” chat. We are joined by Heritage’s Hans von Spakovsky and he is taking your questions about the legality of the appointments and the ramifications of them.

We know these appointments were an abuse of his presidential power, but what can be done about it?
      So frustrating!

    3. Jack Sossoman says:

For these illegal appointments by Obama, court action to prevent this should be pursued and should be taken on to the Supreme Court to resolve, if necessary.

Agree. Didn't the Republicans living with the system that the Democrats started constitute a precedent? If not, where is the recourse short of a Republican sweep?

    4. David Miller says:

………so what can I as a citizen do about the appointments? What can I do when the president or congress act in a fashion that is unconstitutional?

    5. Dwana Townsend says:

Call your Senators to express your dissatisfaction and demand that it be handled!!!!

    6. Bobbie says:

it's a concern that Obama is deliberately acting out to tie up the courts system? not sure why his actions can supersede his constitutional restraints? and without rational or legitimate reason…

    7. Jack says:

      G. Reed,
We can impeach the jerk through government process. Jack

So I see and hear a lot of people within Heritage and outside of Heritage talking. What I don't see are any persons (read Congressmen, Senators ) with the capacity of actually doing something………..doing anything to stop these supposed illegal actions by Obama.

All I hear from Heritage is: "we need more money". I mean, thank you Heritage for the information but it's a waste unless someone is willing to file a lawsuit against the suits in the White House.

why hasn't hussein obama been charged with unconstitutional activities..why hasn't congress been accountable for desecrating the constitution..why hasn't the judicial judges been held accountable for not enforcing the law and actually not defending the constitution but belittling the constitution and making the laws up as they go??? we the people should stand a post and remove these traitors of freedom. Impeach, recall, arrest and charge….Or sit back and watch all our Freedom go out the door…
