  • Exclusive Interview: Rep. Paul Ryan Blames Obama for Dividing America

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) is mighty disappointed with President Obama. The chairman of the House Budget Committee, who has bested Obama in head-to-head policy showdowns, blames the president for failing to outline a solution to the debt crisis while dividing America with talk of class warfare.

Ryan’s speech at Heritage yesterday made news for its strong critique of Obama. He sat down for an interview afterward to outline why he’s so disheartened by Obama. Ryan also redefined how Americans should look at class warfare, taking aim at crony capitalism and the politically connected who drive American further into debt.

Despite the monumental challenges facing America, Ryan said he remains an optimist. He’s hopeful the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction will include some of the House-passed budget reforms in its final report.

The interview runs 5 minutes. Hosted by Rob Bluey and produced by Kyle Tuckness with the help of Hannah Sternberg. For more videos from Heritage, subscribe to our YouTube channel.

Mr. Ryan is right about it all. We're always trying to get ahead but increase taxes (fed, state, local, city, sales, municipals etc) and regulations on my husbands employer's business have kept wage increases from existing for over 5 years. EVERYTHING ELSE of our basic necessaries including expensive health costs, have increased in costs leaving us with no disposable money! How many government employees are obligated to deal with the same consequences they force on us? No one on the democratic side as they seem to work without morals seeking out more to label. We the people and the money we earn, is being wasted to protect those control freaks and their special interests, in government!

We respect the sound common sense and logical reasoning that doesn't exist on the democratic side. Common sense is trusted, democrats aren't.

    2. Brian Pla says:

It upsets me how these professional speakers can sit up there and twist words and terminology to fit there dogma. There is no reason why we as a people should permit these representatives of the people to lie on behalf of the people and say that it is in their best interest.

    3. Warlord says:

No need to wait, I am celebrating the complete destruction of the Democrat/Socialist Party now.
Either the Republicans or the Constitutionalists will be in charge in2013. The stink of Obumma will never leave the Donkeys, and they will go the way of the Whig Party.

      • rmgdnnow says:

Please do not be too confident of the Democrat/Socialist party system collapse. We shall probably be astonished at the strategies, techniques and groups which will produce a "whatever it takes" "anything goes" campaign next year, with money from even stranger, more dubious sources, many of them untraceable, just as it was in 2008. Obama's "transformation" of the nation will extend to "transforming" campaign shows and fundraising that will amaze and outrage most of us.

    4. MarkCz_com says:

We'll be voting for Rob Zerban next year,? not this duplicitous obstructionist who was responsible for digging the hole in the first place.

      • lights on says:

that's too bad you're unable to rise above your weakness but understandable you'd vote democratic, the party of the weak!

    5. CESWT says:

Make no mistake, Obama and the modern Democratic party represent a total repudiation of the notion that God endowed us with our freedoms. The idea that free people, acting in their own best interests, could be trusted with the affairs of a great country was stunningly revolutionary in 1716 and still is today. Obama represents the old worn-out ideas of the past that have brought poverty and destruction to untold millions of people.

all patriots-go to standupamericaus.org and read Major Paul Vallelys-"National Call to United Action" Veterans march on D.C. 11-11-11.

    7. Bill S. says:

No question about it..obama has divided America…look at the Wall Street demonstrations…Still going on. He should distance himself from them and ask them to stop!

    8. Stirling says:

Mr. Ryan just speaks the truth of the current situation.. When a president has sunk to using exectutive orders (to further push his agenda down the throats of America) then we are no better then a Dictator in Chief..
