  • Morning Bell: Four Ways Obama Has Blocked Job Growth

Wonder who’s to blame for today’s stagnant economy? Look no further than 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to see where the buck ought to stop. Though President Barack Obama constantly points fingers at others for America’s economic woes, his policies are to blame for preventing the U.S. economy from getting back on track. Before you watch President Obama present his latest jobs plan in his speech on Thursday, be sure you know the four major measures he has taken to prevent job growth in America:

    1) Obama’s Overregulation

During President Obama’s first 26 months in office, his Administration imposed 75 new major regulations, with reported costs to the private sector exceeding $40 billion, as The Heritage Foundation’s James Gattuso and Diane Katz document in ”Red Tape Rising: A 2011 Mid-Year Report.” That’s more than any comparable period on record. The annual cost of regulation–$1.75 trillion by one frequently cited estimate–represents twice the amount of individual income taxes collected last year. Katz and Gattuso write that there are even more regulations in the pipeline, as well.

That’s bad news for job growth, and you don’t just have to take our word for it. Ask the people who create jobs in America. John Schiller, chairman and CEO of Energy XXI, told CNBC that “if the government would get out of the way, from a regulation standpoint, and let us do what we do good, you’ll see us continue to hire and grow this economy.”

    2) Obamacare

There’s a disturbing trend if you look at job growth in America over the past two and a half years. Heritage’s James Sherk writes that, following the recession, the U.S. was on a track for a steady recovery. The economy went from losing 841,000 jobs in January 2009–the recession’s low point–to gaining 229,000 jobs in April 2010. But then Obamacare became law. “From May 2010 onward, private job growth improved by only 6,500 jobs per month–less than one-tenth the previous rate,” Sherk explains and as illustrated by this chart.

Though correlation doesn’t necessarily equal causation, there’s reason to believe that Obamcare helped turned off the spigot on job growth. The law imposes costly new requirements on businesses, which remain uncertain of what their costs will be down the road, leaving them to postpone hiring decisions. In fact, one survey showed that 33 percent of small business owners said Obamacare was either their greatest or second-greatest obstacle to new hiring.

    3) Big Spending and Runaway Deficits

President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus was supposed to create jobs, but instead deficits mounted and economic growth is now stagnant. Meanwhile, all that money intended to “stimulate” the economy had to come from somewhere, which means taxing or borrowing from other sectors of the economy. The result? Less money for investment, and that means less job growth. Brian Riedl explains in The Wall Street Journal:

[L]arge stimulus bills often reduce long-term productivity by transferring resources from the more productive private sector to the less productive government. The government rarely receives good value for the dollars it spends. However, stimulus bills provide politicians with the political justification to grant tax dollars to favored constituencies. By increasing the budget deficit, large stimulus bills eventually contribute to higher interest rates while dropping even more debt on future generations.

    4) Pro-Union, Anti-Business Policies

In South Carolina, Boeing sought to build a new factory to produce one of its airliners, which would have created new jobs in the state. Enter the Obama Administration’s National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), which filed a complaint against the company, arguing that using a non-union facility constituted an unfair labor practice. And that’s just one example of the Obama Administration’s pro-union, anti-business policies.

Other recent NLRB decisions include several rulings on snap elections and restricting secret ballot elections, and it instituted a new rule that allows unions to cherry-pick which workers get to vote on unionizing. Rather than putting the economy first, the President has decided to put unions first, and unemployed Americans are paying the price.

Earlier this summer, businessman Steve Wynn said that the Obama Administration has been “the greatest wet blanket to business and progress and job creation in my lifetime.” And when Investors Business Daily asked Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, “What’s the single biggest impediment to job growth today?” he replied, “The U.S. government.” Business owners–those men and women who create jobs in America–know that the Obama Administration is the root cause of the stalled economy.

The American people are catching on. According to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, 77 percent say the country is headed seriously off on the wrong track, and “Americans by a 2-1 margin, 34 percent to 17 percent, now say [the Obama] administration’s efforts have done more to harm rather than help the nation’s economy.” On Thursday, the nation will find out whether the President plans to continue the path he set two and a half years ago or finally change direction.

74 Responses to Morning Bell: Four Ways Obama Has Blocked Job Growth

    1. Jack Carle says:

The spectrum of possible motives for BHO's behavior range from the most benign (incompetence) to the most serious (the desire to convert the USA to a totalitarian socialist society). Read up on the history of the Soviet Union. What if it came to pass that a National crisis led to a declaration of martial law and a suspension of the Constitution coinciding with the next election. Obama would then be king for life (shich I believe is his desire)

      • Jules says:

Jack Carle. This is what I have been thinking and saying since he was put into office! Thank you. I don't feel like I'm crazy anymore and alone in my opinion of what may happen prior to the elections of 2012. Everyone I talk to about this possibility tells me that could never happen in our country. I say it could. Look at all this president has done since he was sworn into office. Some of which, I never thought would/could happen. This president has openly ignored the will of the people time and time again, via regulations and executive orders.

      • Casey says:

Agreed – nearly everything this administration wants reads communism.

    2. Robert, TX says:

Four ways republicans support Obama: Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and Graham. We can talk about big, bad Obama all we want. The real problem is Obama has zero opposition and last November's elections were a paper drill. Now, what are real patriots to do? FIRE CONGRESS!

      • peggy says:

no include obama and pelosi and reid and any elitist be it repub. or dem kick them all out!! whom ever is against america and its freedoms if people out there don't like the traditional america you know the ones that founded our country and left europe because of socialism and fought for freedoms

      • ROCKYWITH16RDGLOCK says:

Right, on! Get rid of all liberals, Democrats, and RINOS (Republicans In Name Only), and all those who support them, including federal judges, all the way to the Supreme Court. A 2/3 majority of Congress (I think) can do this. Plus, make E-Verify mandatory for ALL jobs nationwide.

    3. Turner says:

Obama has done a superb job of subtle destruction to our economy. His handler must be very proud of him.

    4. Dr. Henry Sinopoli says:

Four ways Republicans have helped Obama block Job Growth:

      1. Let him off the hook by raising the debt limit prior to the election
      2. Permitted a commission to look into the debt problem when all of them were elected to do so
      3. Moved the focus of the health care bill and remain exempted from the process
      4. Permitted Bohner to remain a front man for the Republican House…he's a life-long politician and only seeks to remain in power

      • Robert, TX says:

Exactly!!!! And yet, here is what the republicans said:

        1. We will not raise the debt limit (without immediate dollar for dollar reductions) – LIE
        2. We will cut $100 billion from spending immediately – LIE
        3. We will repeal Obamacare as our first act of business – LIE
        4. Where is Rep. Joe Wilson? Will he shout at little johnny next session?
What will he shout? You LIE! or You CRY!

      • ThomNJ says:

I agree with you completely – I would have named the same four items. The Repubs really dropped the ball. Big time.

      • Casey says:

        agreed!

      • Frank Selig says:

Obama is not the only person to blame. Republicans controlling congress want it this way because they only care about themselves and the rich. They are against taxing rich corporations because those corporations pay these politicians a lot of money. As long as this is allowed to happen, this country will keep getting worse and the unemployment rate will keep getting worse. The current Texas governor, with his dislike for labor unions, will surely make things worse if he becomes our next president.

    5. FRANK TANK says:

SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEMS WE ARE HAVING IN AUSTRALIA.
2 GREAT COUNTRIES BEING RUN BY INCOMPETENT GOVERNMENTS ! !

      • peggy says:

nooooo its ran by george soros go read his book on how he brought down three other countries and made money off of those countries that he and other rich aholes out there whom want nothing more than power and make everyone poor and obama has him in his right pocket or is it the other way around

      • People are too comfy in their recliners, the internet, and TV. They've got to be more informed and encouraged to get out and VOTE!

    6. gudis says:

It is a very good write up on todays problems. Lets get less rules and regulations and cut out the unions. That way you will give business back to the business owners. They are the ones that put their money to work.

    7. Ginny says:

Yes, and let's not forget about the thousands of jobs lost due to Obama's moratorium on oil drilling.

Also, the ridiculous raids on companies such as "Gibson Guitar" and other small businesses by the feds – which sent workers home and caused undue pressure and costs.

I can't think of many areas of business, including farming, that Obama hasn't poisened the well in one way or another, in his short and devastating term.

    8. jiffygeo says:

I must have missed a few milestones along the last 10 years of life:
      1. When did successful business ventures become an enemy of the government?
      2. When did public prayer become a stigma to the general public?
      3. When did we change from welcoming immigrants so they could become Americans to allowing immigrants to set up their own country inside our borders?
Somehow "change" occured while I was working to make America stronger.

      • NoBodyCare says:

Jiffygeo you are exactly right, the Americans have no rights we have to live by the rules of the immigrants
we can't pray in public, we can't enjoy our holidays we offend the immigrants. My parents, grandparents and grandgrandparents are American Indians and we are not allowed to have anything like the immigrants aren't we American's too?????

        • Right, they don't have phone messages and signs all over the place in the native American Indian tongue(s) wherever there are heavy native American Indian populations. Why do they have these allowances for Spanish? That only encourages illegal immigrants who collect hundreds of billions in free welfare, education, and medical care–money that could go to native Americans for job re-training, infrastructure, medical care, etc. Plus, these illegals take American jobs. That's why we need to kick out Obama, Holder, Napolitano, and all federal judges who support illegal immigration.

      • Orville Shelton says:

@ jiffygeo ~ I will attempt to answer your first question. They didn't they became part of the government with the passage of the 14th amendment where corporations became Citizens along with the establishment of the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve is part of the House of Rothchild the worlds bankers.

      • Clearhead says:

        ANSWERS: 1. January, 2009
        2. January, 2009
        3. January, 2009

QUESTION: When will America acquire enough intestinal fortitude to defend itself against its own disintegration by treason? The gummint is certainly not going to start fighting against itself. If you want a preview of the inevitable result of further delay, take a look at Germany, Italy, Russia etc.last century.

      • Ginny says:

        "jiffygeo",

I love your brief and accurate synopsis, and I 'borrowed' it to relay to my email friends. ' Hope you don't mind. I credited your post as the source, and added a picture of Pete Seeger's album cover [him holding a guitar] which includes "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" – seemed rather apropos, I think.

    9. Lloyd Scallan says:

I'll ask the question again. "If Obama was deliberately trying to destroy this nation and its economy, what more could he do? We all had better recognize Obama is not a fool. He is not incompetent , inexperienced in his agenda, or naive. He is deliberate and calculating. He knows exactly what the results of his policies will be, and so does his administration, the DNC, and many in Congress.

      • Bill says:

And he has many more months to wreck havoc…AT LEAST

      • Anna Thomson says:

Bravo…I have been saying that since his campaign and trying to warn my "friends". They just think I am over reacting and prejudiced…I am glad someone else sees the danger also.

    10. mrrz says:

He will only remain in power if we sit back and do NOTHING.
NOW IS THE TIME FOR ALLGOOD MEN TO COME TO THE AID OF THEIR COUNTRY!!!!

      • KC - NM says:

I agree but here is a typical example of how the republican and tea party might lose unless they make strategic changes. Tonight's republican candidate debate is being held at the Regan Library but only MSNBC will cover this debate. Then the commentators – R Maddow and Chris Mattews, and other liberals will put their spin on the debate. What a joke – why is this not nationally televised so that Americans who do not have cable can also watch the event?

      • Right. We could check on the double counting of voter registrations by ACORN, no matter how long it takes, as well as double checking of the financial assets of Obama, Holder, and Napolitano. I think kickbacks, no matter how remote are in there somewhere. Even if Obama's hair turns all white as a sheep (well, he's a wolf in sheep's clothing, so he's going to look the part sooner or later). Also, that "Fast and Furious" gun handover to Mexican drug cartels and criminals (if dug deep enough) should be enough to impeach and kick them all out. Not related directly, but Hilary Clinton's campaign was financed in part by the Red Chinese, as reported in HumanEvents.com. (Since she could be the next Obamanation to rise over the ashes of the original Obamanation.)–or should I correct myself or even dignify these two #0%6 bags with better names.

    11. A. Terranova says:

I totally agree with Jack Carle's comments. I don't think Obama is incompetent and I do think he's moving in the direction of creating a totalitarian state which is the definition of Statism. He is and in my opinion has always been a groomed and selected candidate for the express purpose of "fundamentally transforming" our nation from a free democratic Republic into a direct democracy which is one way dictatorships come into being. The dismantling of our Constitution under this tyrant coupled with excessive regulation, power grabbing and use of bully force through various entities, i.e. unions, within his corrupt political machine, are just some of the examples of his total abuse of power. One glaring point is that he could never have accomplished this by himself without heavy, very powerful, very wealthy and extremely corrupt support. Where do you think that is coming from?

      • Nancy says:

        George Soros.

      • vicki says:

Please explain to me where it is coming from and why. What is their purpose and what would be the gain? (I'm blonde) Really, please explain to me.

      • For one thing, one reliable source said it was billionaire George Soros, who also heavily funds Associated Press. Also, Dumbama's stepfather was a Muslim and he is shown wearing Muslim clothes while attending a Muslim school in Indonesia. His qualifications for the job as president are also suspect, as they were not fully investigated. If he is found not to be qualified, all his laws, measures, and whatever, should be abolished totally. I can call myself a Cristian, and go to a "Christian" church, but the Bible says, "You shall know them by their fruit." No fruit, not a Christian. Tough balls! Who cares if this presidential qualification thing (also involving "birthers", who have a legitimate gripe) goes on until (the investigation that is) Dumbama's hair all turns white as a sheep. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing anyway. Alan Keyes, an influential black conservative, also questions Dumbama's qualifications to be president (I don't use a capital P because I don't think he really is our President).

    12. Marion Leigon says:

The Stimulus money appropriated was never distributed ! It was transferred entoto to overseas banks
by Bernake, Geitner and Obama where it lies, drawing interest. This was reported by Global Research over a year ago, and I, personally have sent the report to Congress, to news outlets, to presidential candidates, and not one of them has responded. Go to "Global Research.ca" , pull up "Why QE2 failed –
      The Money All Went Offshore"

    13. Harry Adams says:

We have a clear and present danger in our nation- it is the Obama administration, with a goal of bankrupting AQmerica.

    14. Chales B. says:

Hmm no mention of the 40 jobs bill submitted by Democrats and blocked by Republicans this year.
They even blocked a summer jobs bill for our youth, a bill that would paid for the rehabilation of abandoned housing, and a bill that would reward companies that shifted jobs, from overseas to American

Hmm, No mention of the President's decision to not require stricter vehicle fuel emmissions standards.

Only 33 % of small business owners blame Obmacares. That means the majority dur support Obamacares. I''m glad the President does care. Several companies have stated they will be lowering premiums next year.

Hmm no mention of the fact that President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus included 300 billion in tax cuts.
Why is that. Why do Recessionist Republicans always fail to mention the tax cuts. President signed agreed to another trillion in tax cuts in December 2010.
Unemployment was over 8% when the stimulus signed into law. We went from losing 800,000 jobs a month when Bush left office month, to gaining over 200,000 jobs month. The stock market doubled in value. It peaked when the Republican budget cuts were signed into law in April of this year. Job growhth has been falling ever since. Spending cuts equals job cuts

      • Jim Collins says:

Chuckie – love how you statists continually use revisionist history to bolster your case. IF, and that's a big IF, we were actually losing 800,000 jobs a month when President Bush left office, it was due to the same incompetence we have seen since Obama took office – a House and Senate controlled from January 2007 (November 2006 election) through January 2011 (November 2010 election) by flaming liberal statists that believe Big Government is the answer to ALL that ails this country. "You sir are 'stuck on stupid' " to quote retired Lt General Russell Honore.

    15. G. Kahn says:

What about the lack of certainty in tax rates after Jan 1, 2013? How can anyone plan without knowing what taxes will be?
What about the high corporate taxes? The U.S. is a high labor cost country and Emerging Economies are growing faster than the U.S. As an investor why would you invest in the U.S. instead of the Emerging Economies, since even their tax rates are lower?

    16. Charles B. says:

Go back to the Clinton era tax rates, and we won't need to raise the debt ceiling.
Had the Clinton era tax rates remained in place, the national debt today would be zero.
The maximum rate 39.6%, it was 50% during the Reagan years. Bush cut it down to 35%.
First president to go to war and cut taxes. His decision wiped out the budget surplus he inherited from
Clinton in to months, and passed on a 1.4 trillion FY 2009 budget deficit to President Obama.

    17. Jill Maine says:

Yah! This stuff isn't happening by accident. I think we are coming to the end.

    18. Curt Krehbiel says:

Well, It is obvious Obama is not fooling any of the writers of the comments above. Thank you Jack Carle for an excellent start for todays comments.

    19. Frank says:

All 4 ways can be simplified into 1 way: BIG GOVERNMENT

      The solution?: DRASTICALLY SMALLER GOVERNMENT

Let's go back to the limited, Federal powers as enumerated in the Constitution, let the free market economy work itself out of this mess, end the Federal Reserve (return to sound money) and balance the budget asap.
Lacking that, America is on the fast track to economic oblivion. All we need to do is return to the path that once made us the economic wonder of the world. We don't have to re-invent the economic wheel.

    20. Steven Coy says:

We the people still have our guns and so long as we retain them they can't do all that is necessary to destroy this Constitution or America. I have been asking for all Americans to pick a day when we meet in D.C. and take our Country back peacefully or by violence. Its Obamanations pick as to which we do.

    21. KC - NM says:

I do not believe the republican party has a strong candidate to date for president. This candidate must be able to push through the liberal media and control by the unions to get the needed votes. Obama has certainly crushed the job growth process as stated with the 4 items listed. He has developed a culture of Americans who anticipate that government will pay their way or at least support them. 50% of the country falls into this category. I am not a Romney fan but at least he has come out with a plan that is pro business and anti union and big government. I suggest that he add one more item on his plan – for every private sector job gained equals a reduction of a government job until the government is leaned and effective.

    22. Sid Shreeve says:

I travel a great deal on business internationally, especially into Latin America. The more educated people, particularly the shakers and movers in business and finance, cannot understand how Obama got elected in our country, There signs were there from the very beginning that he was a completely inexperienced and basically a radical person. It was clear that he had a very socialistic agenda–yet we elected him. The most frightening statistic is the number of people that still think he is doing a good job. What is the matter with the American people who think this man is doing a good job. Are we blind? Can we not see that this man and his handlers and associates are destroying the fabric that made America great? When will we wake up? Is it too late? Are we like the ancient Romans–as Toynbee said: As soon as the ancient Romans found out that they could vote bread and games, it was the beginning of the end of the Roman Republic.

    23. mike sackey says:

There seems to no longer be seperation of state & religion, we need to tax organized religion.

    24. Gene says:

Yeah. Again. Let's blame this on Obama. Paperbacked rider. What about all the jobs created in Top Secret America's Government. And (formerly) Blackwater. The so-called war on terror has cost us more than we know.

    25. Carol M Kite says:

Why is it not obvious to everyone that a change is necesary disallowing any organization to have power over the president because they contributed monies to his campaign, enough to sway the vote whereby he is beholden to jump to their directives? That is criminal also, incidentally, the same president campaigned against that very lobbyism should he win the election. Oh, that's right, just another of his unfulfilled promises of change. We thought he meant to clean up the government corruption, insted he meant he'd force his socialist plans to change America down our throats–redistribution of wealth!

    26. Marilyn says:

President Obama has exactly what he needs to transform America. High unemployment and a stagnant economy. Four more years and his transformation will be complete. He will not get four more years on our watch.

    27. D. J. Golio says:

I do hope that all concerned taxpaying Americans catch on to Mr. Obama's agenda of destroying our great nation before it is simply too late. If only we could get a declaration from the President that effective immediately, we will unleash the collective resources in this country to vigorously explore all available oil and gas reserves in an attempt to substantially reduce our dependence on foreign oil. This will create millions of jobs throughout the country without increasing the deficit with programs and stimulants that are long term ineffective. I will keep dreaming……

    29. Nancy says:

The time for revolution is now!

    30. toledofan says:

HF great article and keep up the good fight. It's obvious either the administraion is either totally inept and so far in over their heads they have no clue, or that they have opened Pandoras Box so wide they have no idea of how to close it; things got out of hand too fast, or they are as smart as a fox and think that the will get away with transforming America into a socialist country, be re-elected and continue unabated on their path of destroying the Constitution. I think that they are just inept, lack experience and are so devoted to a failed ideology that no matter what they do they are boxed in and can do nothing but fail. History will be our judge.

    31. joan says:

Let's not forget all those evil, permicious lemonade stands! Thank goodness Obama and Holder are doing something about them!

    32. RonB says:

I certainly hope that powers that be are cognizant of the possibility of Obama declaring martial law. Since his approval ratings are lower than a snake's belly, he has to know that his chances of re-election are about as good as a snowball in hell. With that, I wouldn't put it past him to try such underhandedness, as he has proven time and again that he is capable of doing so. I am 67 and for the first time in my life, I am SCARED to death for this great country of ours. As I have asked before, if he were to declare that he is out to destroy us . . . what would he do differently?? The unanimous answer I have received when posing this to various people – including talk show hosts – is nothing – he is well on his way to doing it now. I have also written to the FBI, asking who has jurisdiction? Obama is not above the law, though he seems to think so and acts accordingly. Same for Holder – both are guilty as hell of felonies and should be brought to justice – the sooner the better. So far, no answer from the FBI, and I'm not holding my breath.

    33. OTPartier says:

Here's a scarier thought… which internal groups in the US, friendly to Obama and Holder, may be recipients of the ATF "Fast & Furious"… preparing for a popular insurrection next year in advance of election day for Obama to declare Martial Law….

    34. David says:

Too mundane and obvious. I really thought there were thinkers that covered thing in-depth with this material. I was wrong.

    35. Bobbie says:

I'd like to know how the government figures jobs and demand build wealth when they steal the wealth of others to pay for the jobs? private sector generates money without the intrusions of government which has become desperate and apoplectic.

    36. gary sheldon says:

Wonder if Obama and his regime will ever weep over the horror they have perpetrated on the United States of America. Naa,……I doubt they would be that introspective.

    37. BamaLady says:

Will somebody please come up with some answers? We recognize the problem, but how do we solve it? I don't believe we can wait until the 2012 election to start turning this runaway train around. The current administration can only get away with what he is allowed to do, but as a private citizen, I personally don't know what to do. Writing to Senators and Reps in Congress doesn't seem to get any action. I don't understand the stranglehold Obama has on the mainstream media. Can someone please explain that?

    38. John Ford says:

      It's socialism at it's best!

    39. JohnL2 says:

Most of us know Obama is absolutely the wrong man at the wrong time to be the POTUS! Before the election, many of us knew this and voted against him! Obviously, he was elected.
The question now is, "Can we legal American citizens allow him to be reelected?" NO!!!
Obama's poll numbers continue to fall in most categories except one. He is STILL considered likeable! How can ANY resaponsible legal American citizen consider him personally likeable after what he has done to the USA in less than three years, nationally AND internationally? He is an embarrassment and clear and present danger to the USA and the American way!!!

    40. RecklessProcess says:

And thank heavens that Obama has outlawed selling rabbits!

    41. Jeanne Stotler says:

When we get a NEW Congress and POTUS, an indictment needs to be filed against Obama and his cronies, charging treason and any other charges that can be justified, then they need to spend the rest of their days in our Cuban facilities. This would also give the message loud and clear that we are "WE THE PEOPLE" so don't try this again. After this put Civics and history back in our classrooms.

i agree perfectly with the opinions about president obama and add that in my view he has passed the predictation of boosting the american economy at his best and i justthink he should have a second mandate as usa president to reach his goal of achievement higher than the first mandate ,change we believe in he said in the preelection as the colosal way of expression of his viewng regarding creating jobs ,fightin the terrorism and have done it with killing bin laden ,bringin g down the spring revolution in arab contries such as lybia, tunisia, egypt and syria giving back the democracy and free market as america like to

I'm not a business man, just a retired worker and consumer. But I can read. I understand the problems and uncertainty facing business in whether or not to hire based on new or changing personnel and regulatory requirements. As a positive business response to our current crisis, why don't businesses consider hiring full time workers on a 9 month or one year contract. This would give a shot in the arm to employed person, hopefully give positive productivity for the firm, help the firm determine the value of the person as an asset to the productivity of the firm. And it would give a message to the leadership in Washington that they have one year to get the obstacles to reinvigorating our economy out of the way, or all these new hires will be released from their jobs just before the next election.

Of course there are probably federal or state rules precluding doing that type of hiring.

People accusing this POTUS of lying are not totally accurate, and thereby fanning the flames of pro-Obama sentiment. He has been straight-up about his intentions from the get-go. Of course he wants to transform the USA into a socialist state to preserve his and his party's power. Most folks don't want to believe he would do such a thing intentionally – he is clearly a narcissist but dumb like a fox.

George W may not have been the roundest marble in the bag but he acknowedged his shortcomings and surrounded himself with brilliant staffers to help him with the helm not being concerned with his "reputation" only what was best for the USA.

BO, on the other hand, inwardly knowing he was in way over his head, appointed a pack of idiots to his staff to ensure no one in his administration could eclipse his "brilliance". We cannot survive another 4 yrs of BO.

    45. MJC says:

I dont think we can survive another year & 1/2! There is a very scary agenda being carried out, by the U.N., among others. There is an agenda to control the public thru environmental issues, making them the jurisdiction of a global police state, where I'm sure Al Gore sees himself as Czar. There were no SUV's around when the Laurentian Ice Sheet melted, or any of the others, but they keep drilling it into everyones head that"climate change" is man made, & will use this as their modus operandus for taking over. The earth IS approaching a dramatic climatic period, she does this every 12,500 years. But their bought & paid for scientists wont tell you that. They are teaching kids that global warming is mankinds fault in school, now, as well as their "redistribution of wealth" theories. The Dept. Of Education needs to go, whatch the Charlotte Iserbyt video, "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America" (the 59 min. one) Chilling!

    46. Stuart says:

Two words: FAIR TAX. This would be a bold measure to take that would assure that the economy would grow at such an eccelerated pace it would make your head spin. However, there is an underlying road block to this commen sense approach. It would remove an encredible amount of power from the politicians. Ergo, it will never happen.

    47. Margaret Aubry says:

Time is of the essence. We need a voting law changed. It should be required by law that each voter – should have to present a picture I.D., with his current address – before being given a ballot upon which to vote. His l.D. should bear the same address that is on the voting register of the voting precinct. Different states have different requirements. No excuses, if, and's or buts, There should be a proclomation; and then registration would be up to each individual to be responsible to obtain his own I.D., from his local Motor Vehicle Registration office Most people already have their own picture driver's license I.D. Other's have I.D.'s made up by that agency. Voter fraud is a terrorist weapon, and we have to stop it before it happens.
2012 is such a crucial election. We have to deluge our representatives in our government to make this happen. SOVF Stamp out Voter Fraud.
