    Analysis: The major action in the House this week will be the passage of the negotiated debt ceiling deal.

    Major Floor Action:

    • A bill to increase the nation’s debt ceiling

    Major Committee Action:

    The House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures will hold a hearing on “Energy Tax Policy and Tax Overhaul.”

    Senate Cloakroom: August 1 – August 5

    Analysis: Just as in the House, the Senate will likely be focused on the passage of the negotiated debt ceiling deal.

    Major Floor Action:

    • A bill to increase the nation’s debt ceiling

      Is there a Balance Budget Amendment Script that we can all look at and see what it says . I am hearing that there is a big difference on Balanced Budget Amendments LET the American people have a chance to actually LOOK AT A BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT THANKS
      FREEZE ALL SPENDING TO PRESENT LEVELS OR GO BACK TO 2008 LEVELS
