  • VIDEO: Is the American Dream Dead?

Our new video asks, “Is the American Dream dead?” With the release of the 2011 Index of Economic Freedom, one element of the report should be inescapable to American readers: out-of-control spending is a serious threat to our country’s prosperity. The enormity of the problem should not be underestimated—last year, the Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman even called our frighteningly high debt the “most significant threat to our national security“.

For the second year in a row, the United States remained mired in the “mostly free” category and while economic freedom grew globally, in the US, it continued to decline. While troubling, these trends are not irreversible. Nonetheless—as the video points out—if the American Dream is to be saved, Americans will have to fight for it.

We just need congress to take command of the federal government and shrink it to what the founder's had intended. Since FDR, the liberals and special interest across the spectrum have hijacked the country – using the federal government as a tool. The founders specifically made that institution weak so that any trouble they caused would have little effect on the country. As we have had our freedoms stripped from our hands over the last 70 years, we can see why they made it so.

Since the founding, the formula crafted by the founders provided 150 very successful years for this country and has kept it strong. For 70+ years, the federal workforce (from congress to the mailroom) has messed with that formula and as a result, we have a radioactive situation that will bring this nation down.

We can take it back. We have a congress that is starting to open their eyes and we have a populous keeping their noses to the grind. The rule of law still works and the form of participant government is still in place. We have the tools to return the government back to the people and thus protect us from those who wish to rob us of our future.

Yes, there is hope so long as we are on congresses’ case in the next two years and we do not let up. Until we have a Washington-like person in the presidency, there will be no rest for the patriots!

With the government intervening with the American Dream and not respecting it, throwing all obstacles in it's way, while building the world's economy, it will be gone soon enough.

When Obama says the private sector created 174,000 jobs was that on their own or did Obama subsidies? What jobs and where?

    5. Leon Lundquist, Dura says:

The American Dream is something like 70% gone. Big damage. It has come to the place where if the House of Representatives does not intervene the Progressives under Obama and Soros will destroy this Nation. Our Economy is a National Defense issue! But more, the ability of Americans to accumulate Capital is an issue of Liberty! We need our own money for Liberty! So I think we should Empower the House by sending them millions of signatures on this Petition:

We the People, Sovereign Citizens hereby withdraw our support for unlawful and not Constitutional Forms Of Government, specifically Police State, Socialist, Communist and Dictatorship. We call upon the United States House Of Representatives to Investigate unlawful Forms Of Government, to remove their funds and to Prosecute their creators.

We declare our Representation has been usurped by Racketeering, Influenced and Corrupt Organizations and We Demand that our Laws against Treason, False Prosecution, Refraining Prosecution, Racketeering, Voter Fraud and Perjury shall be enforced.

We Petition for Injunctive Relief from unlawful dictates of Government Agencies, the House shall accept our reports, accumulate them and redress our grievences.

      ss. Name, address.

Anybody here like this kind of Committee Work. Turn up the heat on the Communists in our Government and Empower the House! We have to get the Socialism out to get our Dream back!
