As part of our “Lunch With Heritage” series, we will be feature Director of Health Policy studies Nina Owcharenko. Nina will answer your questions on what is wrong with the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act (PPACA) and the correct way forward. There is a lot that needs to be done but with the right education we can hold congress accountable and make sure they do what they were elected to do.
Nina recently wrote a paper on everything that needs to be done so health care can be reformed.

I have been an independent agent for almost 30 years, specializing in employee benefits, and see the demise of the private insurers as well as the total rejection by employers of their administrative tasks, in less than ten years. Obamacare will not be repealed as it's just too big and by the time there is an opportunity to do so most of it will be intrenched in the American healthcare system. Now, you can just brush this off to one who is old and cynical, but I consider myself as a forward thinker and I do not like what I perceive with this entire scenario.
Re; 'Flawed Foundation'
Ask not what your Government can do for you.
Ask, what can I do for myself?
If lttle or nothing is required of an individual to obtain their basic needs, what is the incentive to offer anything in return? Our welfare-entitlement mentality is capsizing our ship. If the individual can't swim or have a personal life preserver . . . better learn how to swim, now.
One could make individual contracts with health providers. Find those you trust and make arrangements for your care in case you need it. Price and method of payment is negotiable.
The same principle applies to other basic needs. We don't have to rely on big government or business. Don't even have to rely on official currency. Say that I'm a General Family Practitioner and your are a Roofer.
All the money in the world can't buy what doesn't exist.
