  • VIDEO: It's Time To Get To Work

As Heritage Foundation President Ed Feulner explained yesterday, the American people sent a strong message on Tuesday. They clearly rejected the wasteful spending and growing government that has so far defined the Obama Administration and insisted that our country return to fiscal sanity.

As we explain in our new web video, this new Congress was elected on a mandate to lead and the American people are demanding that they live up to its promises.

They must immediately 1) Cut and Freeze Spending; 2) Repeal Obamacare; 3) Stop the Obama Tax Hikes; 4) Protect America; and 5) Get Control of Government. It’s time to get to work.

    1. Doug Weise, Florida says:

Lest any should think otherwise, this election is not to be considered an endorsement of the Republican party, but rather an acceptance of the lesser of two evils: a second chance. If these new congresspersons/governors do not live up to their campaign promises, i.e. less government intrusion, more individual responsibility, adherence to the Constitution as originally intended by its framers,

pruning and containment of entitlements, control of our borders…et al…they too will be fired at the first opportunity.

    2. Kevin H, College Par says:

I'd hardly call it an electoral madate. If that was the case, the Republicans would have taken the Senate, as they did in 1994.

This seem to me an overreaction of the american people to all the misinformation being spewed out there. Same thing happened about 75 years ago, after the Dems and FDR passed Social Security. People went nuts – misinformation everywhere – and the Dems lost 72 seats in the next election. Now, Social Security is one of the most popular programs in US History. However, within a few more election cycles, the Dems won a record 75 house seats back in one election. The biggest swing in US History.

I have a feeling the same thing is happening based on health reform.

Big Government Is NOT the Answer

Your tax dollars are being spent on programs that we really don't need.
