Attorneys General to Sue to Stop Health Care Reform

Since the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, states and individuals have been on the offensive against the new law and many are following in the footsteps of Virginia and Florida.

Obamacare is now being challenged by 20 different lawsuits with 21 different states as plaintiffs, but it is difficult to find all the different court documents and key arguments for the ongoing cases. The Independent Women’s Forum, a nonprofit group supporting limited government and economic freedom, has just launched a new Web site that will track the numerous ongoing court cases against Obamacare. Healthcarelawsuits.org provides easy access to the facts behind the different legal challenges to Obamacare. Obamacare is being fought on all sides, with states leading the legal battle.

    • Under “the cases,” users may choose a state from a dropdown menu or click on “all cases” to see a full list of the state-by-state legal challenges.
    • Under “at issue,” the most commonly cited constitutional provisions in the lawsuits are provided.
    • The timeline” traces back the challenges since the passage of Obamacare and provides information about when cases were filed and all following actions taken by the courts.
    • The site also has a blog to stay up to date and for reaction to recent court rulings.

The site features an interactive map that shows states with active lawsuits or other health care news dealing with Obamacare. By clicking on a state with an active lawsuit, visitors to the site can find a summary of what the lawsuit is about and recent developments with the case. For states that are not involved in the lawsuits, the site provides a summary of the news in that state regarding implementation and other changes stemming from the new law.

As the battle between government authority and state sovereignty wages, Americans must be able to follow this fight on all fronts. Healthcarelawsuits.org empowers Americans to obtain vital information on the new law’s legal journey through the court system.

It's great that more people and sites are coming along to serve this purpose, but I just wanted to point out that there is another newsblog that has been around longer, and serves the same function as this site

Check it out. There is a lot of information on there. They've been doing it for a while.
