I don't agree with Sen. Carl Levin, Sen. John Kerry and Sen. Richard Lugar that the new START treaty is good for the U. S. and the world. Are they working for the Russians or for us? Why do we have to reduce our weapons stockpile and let the Russians modernize its nuclear arsenel and further develop its tachtical nuclear weapons program? We need missile defense and also to modernize our nuclear weapons. This is absurd!!!!

A treaty that lowers strategic weapon counts is acceptable, even desired. But one that limits missile defense is wholly unacceptable. The US finally has the technology to end the unholy, immoral policy of MAD, which operates by holding hostage millions of innocent civilians for the good behavior of their leaders. At some point in the future, some nation or group around the globe will choose to launch nuclear missiles. Without missile defense, we cannot prevent a terrible catastrophe.
