  • Elena Kagan, Mystery Nominee

Elena Kagan is an enigma as a Supreme Court Justice nominee: her practice record is slender, and her publications are few and far between.

In the latest Heritage in Focus podcast, senior legal fellow Robert Alt discusses what we know about Kagan, and how her views could shape constitutional litigation if her nomination is approved.  Alt also describes the nomination and Senate approval process, and how Kagan’s nomination in particular should be considered.  Given the controversies surrounding her recorded views, and her overall lack of experience, Alt advises a thorough and incisive review, rather than a speedy one.

Listen to Heritage in Focus: Robert Alt on the Nomination of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court here.

Well, hey better put the same type of collar on her as they do for dogs after "the operation" around her neck. Or else she'll be rooting for acorns under the oaks on the white house lawn. Last time I saw something that swarthy was in south Texas. I shot it and had it mounted on the wall. I get it. It is apt.Last Wasp leaves the bench. We've literally replaced Christ in the public square and the court with homosexuality and a homosexual on the court. In this case a homosexual sweat haug. Why doesn't Obama tell us how he really feels about traditional main stream America and the Constitution and take a copy of the Constitution place it on grass in the rose garden and masturbate on it ? About the same thing as this nomination.

One thing we should all know about Kagan is that she views the second amendment as a major obstacle to the advancement of socialism. She said the government must control the extent to which an individual can exercise their 1st amendment right. Even though all rights are granted by God not some govt. created by man. This is why liberals hold so much disdain for the constitution and christian values upon which the constitution was based.

    3. Lloyd Scallan - New says:

Kagan nomination is consistant with the Obama way of running this country into the black hole of socialism. Everything Obama does is designed to deceive the

American people. He did it during the campaign and continues today. Kagan is the latest. Obama wants to hide just how far left Kagan is. She decried America had not yet embraced socialism in her thesis in 1997. This entire matter of whether or not she is gay is just more of the diversion Obama uses to keep us looking at one hand while he is doing something completely different with the other hand, behind his back. Haven't we learned yet that Obama is not to be

Is Kagan a tax cheat ?

    5. Mary Ann, Hawaii says:

We need to investigate further what this candidate really believes in. Is she just another one that will try to push through a socialist agenda. This is not what the country was founded on and we need to be aware and ready to oppose this type of agenda being furthered in our nation.
