[...] A new poll conducted by Democracy Corps-Third Way (that’s Carville and Greenberg, not some rightie bunch) shows the public thinking that America’s standing in the world has dropped under the Most Equal Comrade, and has FHers trailing Pubs as being better on national security and the general direction of the country.
Yes, Carter was a horror. But....he at least had a military background. He had run a business. And though a malaise type liberal , was not a socialist pacifist. Obama is all of this and worse. He is a tyrannical statist too. So these two duds will always be linked together as the two worst Presidents in American history. And think: there could be 7 more years of this naif unless the voters really do wake up to the undermining of our Constitution , our free enterprise system and our national security.

The comparison of the Obama Administration's destruction of the USA's diplomatic and military position to what Carter did from 1976-1980 needs to be laid out crystal clear, often, and from all angles for those citizens who do not have vivid and painful memories of the cost of the Carter debacle.

While I was attending Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, in the winter/spring or 1976 there was a class of Iranian men and women passing through with us. Although theirs was a separate program and our paths did not cross during the course of training, I did have an opportunity to met them on a few of the all too infrequent social occasions prior to our graduation and commissioning in May. It makes me sick to think of the likely terror and torture those fine young officers were subjected to during the barbarous terrorism that followed the fall of the Shah and the Carter Administration diplomatic and military disaster that led to both events and poured fuel on the fire. Jimmy Carter can continue to live in denial but stains of the blood of those young officers is on his hands and nothing will ever remove it.

I later served with an officer who had been hunkered down in the embassy in Tehran, was barely able to get his wife and son out of the country ahead of the total collapse, and was among the of those to get out before the hostage takeover. It took this country the entire Reagan Administration, countless billions of dollars, and more lives than I care to think about just rebuild a foundation for recovery from four years of Jimmy Carter.

Heritage, sound the alarm loud and clear. All hands on deck. The parallel between these two administrations could not be more clear. Unfortunately, the Obama crowd so far has shown themselves to be even more inept and dangerous than Jimmy Carter and his ilk. I fear at least one disaster, if not more, are forthcoming as a result of these fools.
