[...] Heritage Middle East expert Jim Phillips weighs in on what Iran’s latest provocation likely means. He writes: In Ahmadinejad’s twisted mind, Iran is a world power that leads a global alliance against a United States that seeks to dominate the world. Any action that signifies Iranian independence and progress on the political, military, nuclear, technological or economic fronts therefore is a blow against the United States. Ahmadinejad already has lauded the launch of an Iranian research rocket [last week] — a “big event” and more ballistic missile tests may follow. Or perhaps an announcement on the nuclear front. [...]

In our way of thinking Mahmond Ahmadinejad is a mad man but, to the mindset of Islam thinking he is anything but a mad man. To lay a foundation to understand the muslim mindset let me suggest doing a bit of research on Walid Shoebat. He is a former PLO terrorist who converted to Christianity. Muslims grow up singing songs saying "we knock on heavens gates with the skulls of Jews." Americans just do not understand this line of thinking, which is sadly Muslims way of thinking.

If history teaches us anything, we should realize thaty the leadership of Iran, much like that of Sadam Husain, has no regard for the lives of its' citizens. They believe that death brings paradise. I think, it would not be unrealistic to see Iran test a Nuc on the 12th, to the shock and amazement of the west. This is truely the evil empire as both Bush and Reagan proclaimed. Remember, Hamas, and Hezbola are both militant arms of the government. The only thing they understand, in the words of William Techumpsa Sherman, is "hard war"

The founders of this great nation saw fit to put in the US Constution and the bill of rights that the citizens are able to bear arms. All of the tyrants have not passed from this planet. Iran has some that want to take them back to the 7th century or maybe even futher.
How long do you think the current power structure would stay in place if the Iranian people were able to defend themselves from these tyrants?

We have all come to know Iran’s leader, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is a legend in his own mind. I can only venture an unclear guess what he means by rendering a blow the arrogant west that will stun them. Our current administration lacks the intestinal fortitude to take direct action to impede Iran and appears too weak to support Israel should they decide to destroy Iran’s minor petroleum processing plants and all refined petroleum products heading to Iran. Their minimal ability to refine petroleum which are necessary to produce anything; much less provide for their security makes them vulnerable, and does that in rather short order. Then Israel (or whomever) could deny Iran’s pinhead leader of his nuclear and missile ability. Persistent chemical agents are tough to deal with and can be incorporated with other weapons to multiply their effect. There are other options true citizens in the peaceful side of the global community can do to neuter Iran’s leader and the government.
