    1. John B. San Diego says:

Steve how ironic China is playing the role of "put-out dad" taking the credit card and the keys to the car from an unruly son in order to teach the son a lesson in life. That unruly son is Barack Obama. How humiliating for the United States to be publically disciplined by our daddy for the myopic reckless behavior of our immature leadership.

Where is the elder statesmanship that we should have representing this country?

A Senior Statesman the likes of John Bolton could have been dispatched to Copenhagen to deal with this climate control issue while The President remained stateside to deal with the economy and concentrate on putting America back to work. This Administration is not only out of touch with the American People they have a distorted view of the global situation we face and desperately in need a reality check. Things could have been much different than we see them today.

    2. Freedom of Speech, T says:

If you believe in American Exceptionalism then you believe in American Sovereignty.

We are seeing, as never before, WHO believes in this.

If you don't believe in it, then what do you believe in? That we are not blessed and special in so many ways? That our contributions to mankind are on the level of Denmark? That we have not INSURED with blood and treasure the FREEDOM of Europe – twice?

I understand the lack of respect. It always accompanies jealousy and resentment.

    3. RJ Moeller, Chicago says:

Thanks for posting this. I linked to it on my site.

I posted something on my blog today about the whole Copenhagen ordeal. Take a look if you get a chance.

    4. Dale, Cincinnati says:

Can we all agree that this is just one more example of Obama's total lack of "real" leadership. In the grand chess match that is international diplomacy, Obama is a rank amateur. He is called such by the French and other allies and showed to be such by our adversaries.

    5. Bob, Portland, OR says:

Who would have guessed that China would play a key part in stopping this global welfare hoax?

Obama is more of a marxist than the chineese.

      God help us

    6. philip says:

The sovereigity of the United States should not come under control of any so called treaty dreamed up by the copenhagen climate change treaty. The sovereigity of the U.S.A. and our consitution rules over any united nation atemt to enforce it's treaties agianst our consitutional law witch grants the people of the united states their freedom. We are a soveregen nation OBAMA YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO GIVE OUR SOVEREIGITY AWAY NO TO OUR TAX SUPPORT OF COPENHAGEN TREATY

    7. Roger S., Ma. says:

RJ: Great post on your blog. Clear thinking well stated. A must!

    8. Lynn B. DeSpain says:

Either you know that this Nation is a Republic and what that means, or you are an ignorant fool, who will follow anyone or anything that promises you a free lunch and an easy way.

    9. Louis L Cesar F LEVY says:

Our "leaders" is bound to do the right thing or LET US DO IT; there is no way to give up any sovereignty even though they are WIRED TO work against us that is against US.

    10. Drew Page, IL says:

While Mr. Obama pretends to represent all Americans it is painfully clear that he does not. To get an insight as to the real motivation of the man one need look no further than his comments to 'Joe the Plumber' during his presidential campaign. "We want to re-distribute the wealth in this country and spread it around."

Mr. Obama is now, has always been and forever will be a socialist, but a very ambitious one.

He has expressed his view of the Bill of Rights, saying that they are a list of 'negative rights', in that they limit the power of the government.

Well Mr. Obama, that is what the Constitution and it's amendments were designed to do.

Mr. Obama sees a new world order in which all are citizens of the world, where a world government levels all in it to a common denominator, where individual rights are subordinated for the good of the entire community and where the one-world government provides for all and consequently must have the power to take from everyone all that is needed to accomplish that goal. And who do you suppose Mr. Obama has in mind to lead that new world order?

Based on his performance in office so far, Mr. Obama leaves the impression that the job of President of the U.S. is beneath him, a mere stepping stone to higher office. His constant apologies to foreign countries for America, the deference he shows to totalitarian governments and his willingness to sacrifice the interests of the U.S. and its citizens are clear indications of his campaigning for 'higher office'.

Giving the devil his due, Mr. Obama is a great campaigner. It is what he does best and he plays to that strength. On the other hand, it is clear that he is incapable of governing. This inability to govern is based on his inexperience. But more even more important, his inability to govern the United States is due to

his lack of interest in doing so. He has his sights sets on loftier goals. Deep down, I believe that Mr. Obama this of Americans as 'useful idiots' necessary only to attain his goal.

There will always be more poor people in the world than wealthy, more ignorant than educated, more lazy than ambitious. Like most socialists, he panders to the poor, the ignorant and the lazy, telling them that their lot in life is not their fault, but rather due to the depredations of the "rich", the "powerful;" and the "corporate industrialists" who somehow are responsible for their unhappy conditions. Typically, the poor, the ignorant and the lazy are quick to buy into this nonsense. Once this unhappy lot is recruited, how hard is it to convince them that their salvation lies in a government that will take from those unworthy "rich" and give to the deserving poor? These are the constituency of the liberals and the socialists.

Liberals are those who want to invite everyone to lunch, but are never around when the check comes. Socialists want to invite everyone to lunch, then tell the resturant owner he has no right to present a bill.

    11. John B. San Diego says:

We have all said it and we should say it again to Congressmen and Senators "Don't Tread on Me" call them write them fax them email them until we jam the phones and the idiots run out of ink. Now is not the time to grow complacent Climate Control Conference has lost some of it's legs in Copenhagen however we should be unrelenting until The Globalists have turned tail and crawl on their bellies from Denmark.

Anyone ever heard the statement "something is rotten in Denmark?"__ well I think that sickening smell is the United Nations and the less than reputable IPCC. So while we talk to Senators and Congressmen let's demand; get the U.N. the H**L out of New York City. And I strongly suggest no United States official higher ranking than Ambassador to the U.N. ever show up for any function at their new building in Brussels. The Sovereignty Issue is a paramount concern for true Americans and dedicated Patriots as we have seen the globalists and socialists see sovereignty as a speed bump on the road to ___a devastating

"A New World Order"___well not while I'm still breathing PILGRIM

    12. Jerry from Chicago says:

There is no way that China, India, or any other developing nation is going to agree to limit its carbon emissions while it industrializes. It is not in their interest to do so. How would the United States have responded to demands from foreign nations to reduce its carbon emissions between the years of 1940 and 2000? We would have told those making such demands to mind their own business.

While the U.N. may still be able to serve a useful purpose, no nation should ever surrender it soverignty to this organization, especially the United States. It may very well be time for the United States to move its headquarters to another country. I would agree with those that the U.S. is giving the U.N. far too much respect. The highest ranking U.S. official to attend U.N. meeting should be no higher than an Ambassador. The President of the United States should not have to sit there and be scolded by two-bit dictators from countries like Venezula and Cuba is an embarrassment to every American.

You will notice how those countries who are so anti-capitalistic are the first to hold out their hands asking for (and in some cases demanding) money from the capitalistic nations of the world they so despise.

And here we have our Secretary of State, the ever-so-helpful Hillary commiting to send $10 billion a year to the "poor" nations of the world, helping them in efforts to reduce their carbon emissions. Did you ever wonder how many people could have health insurance provided for them with $10 billion a year to spend? At a cost of about $8,000 per year, $10 billion dollars would cover 1,250,000 people. But our government wants to hand out $10,000,000,000 annually to countries like Zimbabwe to aid them in their attempts to reduce carbon emissions to save the planet from non-existing global warming.

This is just another government play in the theater of the absurd.

    13. philip says:

THE UNITED NATIONS ALONG WITH CLIMATE CHANGE GROUP TRYING TO TELL THE UNITED STATES HOW WE SHOULD RUN OUR COUNTRY. THESE ARE A GROUP OF OLD LAZY MEN AND WOMEN FROM COUNTRIES ACROSS THE WORLD WHO ARE LIVING ON WELFARE AT THE EXPENCE OF HARD WORKING PEOPLE. THE U.N. AND COPENHAGEN CLIMATE CHANGE DICATOR ARE NOTHING MORE THAN TROUBLE WIND BAG MAKERS THAT DO NOTHING BUT CAUSE HARDSHIP AROUND THE WORLD. THE UNITED STATES SHOULD WITH DRAW FROM THE UNITED NATIONS AND ALL WORLD ORDER SOCIALIST GROUPS AND ORG. SEND ALL THESE OLD MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE NOTHING MORE TO DO BACK HOME AND FIND A HONEST PRODUCTIVE JOB. AT PRESENT THEY HAVE NOTHING BUT TO FIND FAULT WITH AMERICA. WE NEED NOT FOLLOW THEIR CLOSED MINDED ACTIONS
