The high unemployment/crime/government regulation will eventually become routine as it is in China. No one in the Chineese government is even interested in documenting the causes of the 48,000 riots and murders needed to control their seething population every year. This is not surprising when the workers make the equivalent of a few dollars a day. The "rulers" in the US obviously think we have a long way to go before we can be properly "governed" and have little interest in the unemployment numbers or health of small business except to convince the 40% of non-taxpayers that they "care" about their sorry state so they will keep voting for them. How about a constitutional amendment that requires that all income tax schemes require an equal percentage of an individuals gross income be paid by each citizen and income from corpoations or other income producing entities be taxed at the same rate.
