The underlying goal of the present administration is to shut down everything that is independently successful and replace it with government-run entities that work toward dumbing down society and destroying capitalism. I was a teacher in DC public schools and the public has no idea of how out of control the students really are behind closed doors. Many schools are filled with unmanagable, unproductive students. Teachers are overwhelmed by poor student behaviors and attitudes. The public shouldn’t trust the “test scores” - they don’t reflect the truth that is going on behind many of the closed doors of the public schools in DC or anywhere else in massive school districts. There are schools in DCPS that are truly performing well, but those are not the norm. It’s all a smoke screen to make the school districts and city leaders look like they are productive so they can keep their jobs and reap the luxuries of power.

The best education of any Child begins and ends with Honesty, obviously nothing this Administration knows anything about.
Education comes from a desire instilled in our children to compete, to want to gain more knowlege, to have boundaries, to respect and learn from authorities, and to be rewarded for hard work and best efforts.
This is something that our current Teacher's Unions know nothing about. If there are no losers in our American Classrooms and Sports, then it is obvious that there will never be any winners either.
The annual costs per child for education should be given to the parents to select where those funds go, for the best results for their child's education.
That is the only end result that counts, the education of the Child. If choice is given to the parents as to which and what type of schools the child attends, perhaps the Schools will learn to offer more than just pushing through numbers of head counts towards graduations.

Obama owes the NEA (National Education Association)for voting him into office. And, the NEA views anything other than a public school as a threat to the stranglehold the it has on American education.

It is a cold-hearted person indeed who will block disadvantaged children from the education that will give them a real chance at life!

May God have mercy on Obama's soul, and those of the NEA.

Can you believe President Obama won't save this program. He isn't for the kids, he only cares about his social programs. If the kids are educated they won't need his hand outs!

To paraphrase George Orwell, "All children are equal but some children (Obama's) are more equal than others."

I love the way Mr. Obama talks about what ideas to support with our "precious tax dollars". This from a guy who throws around our tax dollars like a drunken grand marshal tossing away strings of beads from a Mardi Gras float.

Maybe there is a method to his madness. The more he takes from us in taxes, the more precious our few remaining dollars become.

How can you practice plantation politics if people rise up off the plantation? The Democrat party supresses all the people they claim to care about and the people buy this garbage and remain living in slavery to entitlements.
