Then to take advantage of a crisis to become a dictatorship. Takeover of the financial sector, labor unions, industry. Establishing a private army, indoctrinating the children. Placing loyal cronies in important and powerful positions. These were policies of Adolf Hitler in the mid-1930's. Oh yes----he also made certain groups enemies of the state: the Jews, some labor unions, even Christians. But the country's economy did pretty well..... FOX reported that Obama recently called her approximately 8 times in the past couple of weeks. I do not know if that is true or not. And, it is not surprising to have the oppossing side lobby for political capital. What I do know is that she has reportedly said she "wants a trigger". Might as well just say government controlled health care. The only question with a "trigger" is how long will it take THIS congress to pull it... She said she had conditions and only agreed to vote to move it out of committee to "forward" the process. That is so much bunk. The committee did not need her vote. So it was 14-9 instead of 13-10 - party line on the demo side. The truth is that many of the demos know this will be re-written, merged, and not even resemble what they voted on. Senator Snowe must know that as well. So, why did she do this? Why did she join the OTHER Maine Senator and Arlen on the 1st stimulus? All Senators have a healthy ego - it's to be expected. But, how could she vote this out and not show solidarity with her party? All she did is immediately give Obama and the left the opportunity to quickly say "We are glad we had "bi-partisian" support. I email my Senators and Congressmen almost every day and tell them if they vote YES for healthcare or cap and Trade they are voting themselves out of office at the next election. This is a very bad bill for the American people. It greatly increases government control over a vital aspect of all Americans from cradle to grave. Other socialistic plans such as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, which are all failing, only affect a certain segment of the population at any one time. The healthcare plan would affect all. Do not be taken in by this ploy to further socialize our capitalistic form of government. Our country and the future of our children and grandchildren cannot afford another pyramid scheme, by the government, to fill its coffers through further taxation. Every voting American should let their Senators and Congressmen know, under no uncertain terms, that if they vote YES for the healthcare bill, it is a vote to not be re-elected.
