He did support president Bush in Irak by sending troops and Spain suffer losses. He lost the elections to curent "Left Wing Socialist" President Zapatero (weak), which pulled their troops from Irak after the Extremist Islam terroist bombed the trains in Madrid causing many civilian deaths. Zapatero was going to pull the Spanish troops regardless from Irak because he is your typical socialist softy.
