S. citizen re economic matters is overwhelming. Most seem to think that the money for the government comes from some mystical source unrelated to the overall economy and that those nasty old conservatives wish to preserve discrimination and poverty and keep the goodies for themselves. The fact that increased taxation reduces the economy to a zero sum game and removes many of the advantages of the multiplier effect escapes them.Smaller government is not automatically better but is somewhat more accountable and controllable. The recent legislation passed by Congress has opened the floodgates and no one- that is NO ONE- knows where all the money goes. This little liberal bastion or that little sinkhole of corruption siphons off all they can get and there is no one to account for the money. When Congress passes legislation unread and releases money which is, in reality, almost unregulated, the inevitable result is the corruption of which ACORN is only one small part. The society in its today’s state is often power based, and only those who liberate themselves from this compulsive need can consciously lead to a healthy and judicious use of power to empower the individuals rather than the state, which in abstract terms is just like any other entity, be it individual, structure or assembly. This may recall the necessity to constantly have in mind the need to renew whenever necessary People's right to apply their Will by advocating the Rights of SELF-AFFIRMATION, SELF-DEFINITION (true internal aspect of Federal democracy) and then SELF-ORGANISATION and SELF-DIRECTION (Government) which are the external aspect. In this process then, the people delegate some of the work they DON'T WANT or CANNOT ASSUME to an Entity and ORDER it to serve it in a specified way. NOT THE OPPOSITE, where the Entity NOW give orders and promulgates LAWS and TAXES against THE SAME PEOPLE WHO just empowered it for it to serve him.
