Why does Obama side with the wrong man who was deposed by his countrymen because he was corrupt,
there also was a video caught that showed his men taking more than a million dollars for him to take from the mint when he was flown out of Honduras
he was also siding with Hugo Chavez
That`s another thing I don`t understand
He sides with the Castro brothers
they seem to be his new friends, and he dismisses our best friends Israel, and Great Britain
He also ahs left our Europian friends, the Chekoslavakians and Poland, who was to get missile defence to protect themselves from Russia, and now he isn`t doing that Is he for us or not?!!

I would like to call attention to an element of this story I came across in an article called 'The Stakes in Honduras' by Humberto Fontova. 'The U.S.' most important military base in the Western hemisphere is in Palmerola, Honduras. Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro (and especially) Sandinista Daniel Ortega in next-door Nicaragua, find this state of affairs highly discomfiting.

“We're convinced that Zelaya was scheming to turn your military base over to Chavez,” disclosed Honduran government officials to this writer, during a recent two-hour interview/confab that included de-jure President Micheletti. “We started getting suspicious when suddenly last year, out of the blue, Zelaya declared that Honduras desperately needed another International airport.”

“WHAT?! all us legislators asked ourselves, while looking at each other wide-eyed? Honduras airports are perfectly adequate for our needs -- and everyone knows that..?.”
“That U.S. base in Palmerola would make a great location for that airport” Zelaya continued. “And Venezuela has promised to finance the project.”

“ Whoops!” we all said. Then we started inquiring more closely, and got to the bottom of this scheme. Zelaya, we finally concluded, planned to boot out the U.S. military (under that airport pretext) and convert this base, essentially, into a way-station for Chavez-FARC drug shipments to the U.S.”

14 Venezuelan-registered planes crashed in Honduras during the past 18 months, all carried cocaine, or traces of the substance when located. Since Zelaya's ouster not one such plane has been discovered. (Note: these are just the planes that crashed. Imagine the overall traffic Zelaya was facilitating through Honduras for his sugar-daddy, Hugo Chavez.)

Given a free hand to investigate since Zelaya's constitutional ouster, Honduran authorities have discovered 9 clandestine airstrips in remote portions of the nation.'

Viva Honduras! Callete Zelaya!

Lets give human rights to Obama's brother in the Kenya hut where water is still brought in on a donkey. Look at how the leader of the free world treats his own family. Obama went to HA during his grandmother's illness, but when she sadly passed away,he did not go to the funeral. He wants to be universally liked around the world. Lets send him around the world in 2012; he deserves to live in the hut with his brother. Lets give him at least a Republican majority in the Senate in 2010, if not in the House. In 2012, we can look at what good that seat on the council has done others and count that along with the other efforts as looking good, but useless. Obama is giving rights to terrorists caught trying to kill Marines and then charging CIA members with so called crimes. In deed, America, keep on marching against Obama.

So, Esther Brimmer says we will not look the other way but will "stand our ground when the truth is at stake".

Well, I guess we will really show them. The most important question is, What can we do about the human rights violations?

Are we going to really show China we mean business on this issue? Oops, can't do that cause they have alot of leverage now.

Are we going to finally put our foot down on the horrible mutilating female circumcisions taking place in some African Muslim countries or is that a "cultural and religious" issue?

The UN is a joke. The only thing not funny is we continue to pour our treasure into global causes to help people, while many of their governments denounce us.

The idealist will ask, "What do we do, just give up?" No. But let's at least be intellectually honest and admit there is not a darn thing we can do in most cases. If countries own leaders don't care then what are our options? The UN is dysfunctional aside from issuing toothless and meaningless sanctions.

President Bush was right in distancing the US from this Council. It would be better if we could distance the US from the entire UN because the UN is a "worth nothing, do nothing" organization that has become as corrupt as many of the Third World Countries are. Name me one thing that the UN has done that has actually worked. Hey, it almost sounds like our Federal Government!
