There are a variety of reasons for this change — including expansions of public programs, like Medicaid and SCHIP, and the early effects of the economic downturn (which cause people to lose their jobs based coverage).
Should,nt there be the stats on the unemployed figured into this article? While we obviously need health "reform", I dont see how you title this article the growing 'SHIFT' to "gov run" healthcare. Overall the people do NOT want a bigger gov, let alone the irresponsible overspending, for very little improvments rampant in todays admin! Throw in there the fact that anything the gov runs, gets run into the ground, and the mistrust about the lies Obama has told in his campaign and still does, and I dont see ANY shift towards "gov run" healthcare. I do see a shift towards the people waking up to the gov getting bigger and bigger today, to the point that we cant afford it, period.
