Great Article.

The money is not available to be invested elsewhere. The small businesses who are no longer in business and the businesses who have struggled and, laid off employees, should have been the obvious area to stimulate. As unemployment continues to rise, there is less consumer spending, and more employeers and employees will find themselves in trouble. The cycle feeds on itself. Why is the White House surprised that tax revenues are projected to be down by maybe 40%? Unfortunately, the only solution they have is to tax, borrow, and eventually inflate our money through the non-stop printing presses.

The major employer will become the Government. If you already have wealth you are fortunate. For the small businesses and entrapreneurs who try to succeed while assuming ever-increasing taxes to cover lost government tax revenues, the future is bleak with this runaway spending.

How long will it be before we are squeezed out? We can no more compete with government then the private health insurers, once government health care is implemented. This talk of a "government trigger" will become government health care at the slightest sign of distress.

Unless the 2010 elections stop this madness, opportunites to create wealth will only belong to the very few. And, the hope of the great American dream of creating wealth through wits, ingenuity, sacrifice, and risk will be gone.

Where is the common sense? Does this admin not realize that jobs are the most important issue right now, deal with all rest of their agenda later. By then, we will have kicked their butts out!
