[...] If anything, President Obama’s performance at the town hall today hurt his cause more than it helped it. All but a couple questions were from health care supporters who had already made up their minds. And, he stuck to the liberal talking points and continued to lie – about everything from the cost of the plan, to the alleged competitiveness it would foster, and even about his own prior position on a single-payer system.
Mr. Obama changes his mind more often than a kid in a candy store. Unfortunately, for all of the rest of us, that is exactly what he has become.

The so called 'leader of the free world' is a kid in a candy store. He is going to wind up with a mouth full of rotten teeth, that eventually will all have to be pulled, leaving us with the dental bill.

Obama isn't lying in either statement. He was, but currently "isn't" advocating single payer. Present tense. Doesn't mean he doesn't want to, or would advocate for it if he wasn't afraid to be honest. A slick and consistent message, but it's only half the truth. He can claim honesty in both statements.

We have the best healthcare in the world. Obamacare is unconstitutional. It gives to much power to National Governement. If Obama and his radical friends are in favor of a Single Payer system then they should head north into Canada. It is scarry how Obama is making out Doctors to Idiots. All I know is that my Doctors are not telling me to go have Mcdonalds so they can someday amputate my leg. He is an idealogue who just wants to push his agenda down our throats. If we don't like it then we are racists or idiots. I tell you Mr.President we Are the United States and We Don't want your Nationalized HEalth Care.

Wow, these are the most intelligent comments about Obama's agenda. Since day one of his presidency I have been saying this man is the biggest fraud perpitrated on the American people. As soon as he turned over the stimulas plan to Pelosi and the pork began to simmer, the hand wring was on the wall. Hope is for dopes. Obama oppted out so he could protect his butt. Line by line my a___".
Another point that nobody is addressing is Dental Care. Most employer based healthcare insurance companies offer both health and dental coverage as a package. Is Obama going to be our new dentist? In ten to fifteen years American's will be on pain pills and toothless.
Vote the bast___'s out

Oh, I get it now. Mr. Obama's 2003 comments favoring a single payer health care plan, doesn't really conflict with his current statement favoring a government health plan that will compete with private health care plans. He's not 'lying' today, merely altering his earlier position, because he doesn't think he has enough votes to push it through. Tomorrow however, may lead to a re-assesment of his current position, back to his intial position, prefaced with the remarks "let me be clear", if he thinks there are enough votes to make it happen. We must remember, that Mr. Obama is entitled to re-assess, adjust and recalibrate his statements (read promises and commitments) based on the latest public opinion polls and focus group reports. When Mr. Obama says "what I am going to do", or "what I believe is", or "what should be done is" we need to understand that those statements don't necessarily mean that is what he will do. So you see, it is really our fault that we don't understand him

And they wonder why people are shouting at politicians at townhall meetings.
