How about Tennessee's Governor invoking the 10th Amendment as the Texas Governor is doing. If the States have Sovereignty then exercise that right. We in Tennessee know, first hand, the horrors of a government run health care plan.

In my opinion the current administration's concentration on downgrading our defense and frivolous spending on matters which we cannot possibly pay for in our later generations, would leave our country wide open for attack. As I understand it the administration would like for all nations to cut back on their defense spending or preparation. But, doing this as an example to the world, and wishing it so, will not make or encourage terrorist nations to do so also. It will in fact only give them pause to think of ways to invade our sovereign soil.

It is arrogant to think that the whole world will go along with this thought and that just because we cut back on defense, they will also. Just take a look at history. There will always be nations spoiling for war and looking to take over other nations with weakened defenses.

On to the subject of spending. By the math I was taught, if you are bankrupt, where are you going to get money to spend, spend, spend? Just think about it, if you are going broke, how would spending money you don't have put you back on track to get out of the hole of bankruptcy?

Can anyone truthfully say that they have read all pages of the proposed Healthcare Reform Bill and understand what benefits it has for all Americans? Why the insane push to quickly have this passed, when we do not know what it is all about? Have all these congressmen who are jumping on the band wagon, actually read it and understand all of its sections and subsections and how their constituents will be affected? There is a lot of rushing to get things done without clear thought or explanations.

Just look at the thousands of jobless individuals from the auto industry who are in their situation, because of thoughtless and rushed actions on the part of the present administration. Is it progress when the unemployed numbers swell, due to the actions of the administration? I think not. Sacrificing some for the good of others will not wash. It does not make sense on the lowest level and should not make sense on the higher level either.

What is thoughtless is the billions of dollars given to banks and financial institutions, who have no inclination to help the homeowners in their struggles to hold on to their mortgaged homes. Instead, foreclosures are happening left and right. Where is the help, which was to be forthcoming to the homeowners in the form of reduced rates and restructuring? The irony is that this is our tax dollars which were taken and given to these institutions who instead of helping out the needy, are instead booting them out of their homes.

I came across something the other day which I think it is illogical. How can we have as the head of Homeland Security, a person who does not know that it is a criminal offense to enter this country illegally, not a civil offense!

Whatever is this country being led into???

They are playing russian roulette with the citizens of this country; not just from a healthcare standpoint, but from a financial standpoint that will linger for years leaving our children and grandchildren to pay the ultimate price. Obama's kids will never have to worry about where their next meal will come from or who is going to pay for their doctor bills or how they are going to pay their electric bill. They will never have to worry about getting an education or who is going to fund that education.

I wish people would pay closer attention to the evil going on right now. I, for one, am offended that the people who run this country think citizens are a bunch of dummies. Obama managed to convince people to vote for him along with his partners in this mass game of russian roulette, because he is very charismatic. He may have managed to brainwash his way into the office, but I hope those who have the power to stop the madness have the guts to stop the insanity before it is too late.

I heard on a radio talk show in Houston that an 85-year-old with a broken hip would be sent home, hospice would be called, end of story. This in lieu of treating that broken hip because of age and the potential cost of long-term treatment for someone 85. I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound very humane to me. How many of you have parents who are elderly? Sounds like a plan of population control rather than healthcare reform. The words health and care cannot be used in the same sentence with the name Obama. There is no caring about health under his plan.

If you are not familiar with what he has planned, look into what is going to happen with your electric bills. If you are having a hard time paying that bill now, just wait - it is going to get much worse very quickly. Get your hands on the details of his proposals. If you haven't seen them yet, you are in for a shock. People have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.

I agree, people need to stand up for what is right before it is too late. Check into state "Tea Party" schedules, look into other ways of communicating your opposition to these crimes against our country being waged from Washington. Write to your congressmen, even though most of their websites state things like "we get well over 1 million emails a month and may, or may not, respond."

I would like to see a discussion about the members of congress, the senate and President who are excluded from the health bill. Let us get this information out!!!

If it is good enough for us, they should accept the plan also.

We the people will take care of ourselves if the government would stop takeing all our money. In order to generate economic growth, money has to stay in circulation in every town, city, state across the country. stop taxing us into poverty, If we the people were able to not pay so much of our income into a tax system that took money out of circulation, we the people could aford our owne health care, There are many government programs that need to be cut, way to much waste of money, every program is infested with waste, fraud & greed. It's an easy fix. Do away with the irs, have a 5% sales tax across the board. I can see the American people rejoycing, the small buisneses growing, buying supplies, hireing new workers, spending the money, circulating the money into and through the economy in every nook & canny across this great country, with so much buying and selling going on, 5% may be to much, for if we don't have so much waste anymore and we all can afford all that the government wants to provide for us now, maybe after a few years we can drop it to 4%. Well it's time for me to wakeup now and stop dreaming, the truth is, more & more taxes are coming, because We the people have lost all control of our government and now they control us, and they do it through taxes.
