Isn't it strange that the media went quiet after finding out that congress approved of the action of the CIA, and the only reason they weren't briefed afterwards was because the mission was scrapped.

I feel that bothers Congress because they are so inept they don't even know what they are approving.
Example: Cap & Tax, Stimulus I & II, and now obamacare. Most of which they never read either.

If we tell all of our enemies all of our secrets and display our dirty laundry for everyone to see, just who gains the upper hand in this game?

When the CIA will no longer carry out the deeds necessary to prevent terrorist from attacking America again. Because liberals in congress want to bring them before congress for blaming sessions everytime the CIA exhales. These liberals will own the next terrorist attack on America. They have been ading and abetting the terrorists since the 9/11 attacks. This is not a winning strategy to get re-elected. This is a winning strategy to get prosicuted through the court of public oppinion. These Liberals are displaying extreme grotesque vanity and arrogance at the potential expense of American lives.

Who can you believe? We have three groups, first we have the CIA whose profession is deception, second we have congress who is always deceptive, and third we have the White House who likes to stir up the media to take attention off of problems like Cap & Tax, and Health Care. I believe the CIA!

This is just another way to try to cover up the lying of Ms. Pelosi. The Democrats in Washington do not care about the security of the U.S., just making their party look good. Ms. Pelosi will do anything and say anything to make her look good, no matter weather is true or not.

Give me a break. No one was tortured. How do I know? #1 The techniques used are also used during training on our own forces in how to survive capture. I underwent some of this myself. It is unsettling, psychologically unnerving, physiologically uncomfortable, and I really don't want to have to do it again. But it was incredibly effective. #2 The techniques used were used over and over and over for weeks on end. If it were really torture, the tortured would either not have survived, or would have received permanent injuries. Neither happened.

Liberal congressional democrats continue to politicize national security, just as they have ALWAYS done, and will likely continue to do. There is a HUGE difference between having genuine disagreements on how to maintain security and win the conflict and actively seeking failure in hopes of gaining policital advantage.

Some day, perhaps, the American people will wake up to reality (dare I say 'again' - as they did in 1980 & 1994), and throw these bums out of office. Hopefully, the next time, if there is one, the Republicans won't sit on their hands for 12 years.

Violations of our constitution and the public trust must be punished. The efforts by Republicans to claim it is dangerous or unpatriotic to do otherwise is disgraceful and demonstrates a contempt for the values over a million US citizens died to protect. Torture does not work as any informed person is aware, and having committed it is what has lessened the safety of our troops by discrediting our claim to moral superiority and to the protections of the Geneva conventions. Children in the US are (or were) taught in grade school that "just following orders" is not an excuse for immoral behavior and such orders are automatically invalid and must not be obeyed. Those who ignored this lesson and soiled the honor of this country by embracing mentality and behavior antithetical to its values deserve no protection for their inexcusable actions.
