The liberty that we have enjoyed since our nation was founded has been taken for granted for too long. To few citzens understand that the strength and integrity of our sovereignty guarantees our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
Every elected official should be required to know and understand not only the words, but the principles of the constitution. Then take a test to prove their knowledge of our constitution before they can be sworn in and seated.
The original founders were men of their word, most were statesmen, all men of integrity. Where is integrity in todays elected officials? I haven't seen very few lately, Democrat or Republican; in public life and private life. People who will commit immoral, illegal, or sick socially unacceptable act will do the same in public life eventually.

Absence of knowledge of our country's history, combined with what appears to be a "me first" younger generation, has combined to create a large population of young adults who do not know what "Patriotism" is. Now, combine that with the generation of fools who have been taught how wonderful liberalism/socialism is......and we arrive at where we are now. I pray that God helps us patriots navigate the treacherous waters that "our government" is now leading us into. It surely has no similarity as to when Moses led a group of people across parted waters to a new land of "Hope & Change". Does anyone recognize that "change" can sometimes be worse than what we had before? My condolences to the folks who voted for the Democratic candidates. You screwed up!!! Yours & my tax burden increases daily. Was that what you voted for???

as a heritage member,i personally am proud of the work you do to keep me and others informed on our state of affairs.
but you have made me go back to the old books i now cherish.william f. buckley, the federalist papers, the heritage book on the constitution, which is the best at explaining our constitution.when i read some of the founders speeches,i can't help getting choked up with almost tears at what they risked, and finnaly accomplished.what would cause a patriotic american not to be proud of what these men had done?i hope and pray you continue to inform and teach the values that made this country the greatest place on this earth.have a great independence day.
