The President needs to step up to the plate and reaffirm a strong, long-term US military commitment to its many allies in the region and not reply with weak rhetoric to a narcissistic dictator.

And due to the NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL IMPORTANCE AND CATASTROPHE OF THE DEATH OF, "SELF-PROCLAIMED POP KING," Michael Jackson . . .

Not a word that I can remember hearing was mentioned about this TRULY internationally significant event. Having spent two tours in Korea assigned to US Army 2nd Infantry Division, I was EXTREMELY aware of Kim Jung Il's father, Kim Il Sung, being 'bout as nutty as a fruit cake. To the point of keeping us on some level of alert status at least weekly if not several times weekly. Now! We, the world, are dealing with his wacko kid!? And the news media determines to focus on a different Wacko!?

Oh, brother! Where are the Huntleys, Brinkleys, Cronkites, Morrows and for goodness sakes, even the Clark Kents and Lois Lanes? At least they knew how to prioritize.

Isn't it just a "Thriller" watching our news media professionals at work today . . . .
