People must be made to understand the health insurance is not healthcare. Insurance is a means to pay for healthcare.

We have government officials, hospital administrators and doctors complaining about the health insurance companies charging too much for insurance, as if the insurance companies were charging for days spent in the hospital, or for a surgery, or for performing a test. Insurance companies don't provide medical care, hospitals and doctors do and they are the ones doing the billing. Insurance companies only pay medical bills in accordance with the contracts purchased by their employers or by individuals themselves.

I'm afraid that Mr. Obama is going to get his single payer, national healthcare plan because government will not stop interfering with healthcare, constantly increasing eligibility and benefits that are being paid for by employers. Government will not stop blaming the insurance industry for the number of uninsured, as the industry is an easy target. The greater the degree of unemployment, the greater the number of uninsured Americans will be. With $800 billion of "Stimulous" revenue in the budget available for all those "shovel ready" jobs, unemployment continues to climb and consumer confidence continues to fall. Why is that?

We are relying on a President that doesn't have any expertise in economics, in banking, in the automotive industry or in the field of healthcare. Yet he wants to be in charge of all of this. He wants us to believe him and yet, from what I have seen so far, he does not have even a passing acquaintance with the truth.

All of this and he has a 60% approval rating. This is why I'm certain that national healthcare will be the law of the land in short order. Maybe then, when the 60% get a dose of Dr. Obama's national healthcare prescription, they will realize that it's going to take a whole lot of sugar for this medicine to go down.

It is critical that our legislators come quickly to realize what this administration is doing to DESTROY our way of life. They are there in Wash. to SECURE it!

Machiavelli promoted raw power: "It is not, therefore, necessary for a prince (read leaders in Wash.)to have faithfulness, integrity, loyalty) but it is very necessary to seem to have them." Also: "Whence it is to be noted, that in taking a state the conqueror must arrange to commit all his cruelties at once...."

How is it that the President cannot understand that this health care overhaul is going to drive the quality of health care way way down? There is no incentive to become a doctor anymore if your going to get low pay! Its a high skill position

I hope all are happy with Health Care. Please
do not worry as a New York Congressman has offered
a house bill to repeal the 22nd Amendment and
eliminate term limits for the President.

Patriot III makes a great point....I have a 74 yr. old friend hoping to die before too long so that his gravestone can read "I was born a free man and died a free man". He fought in WWII and he is a staunch believer in the U.S.Constitution. He is very saddened as are many of us older Americans, to see what is happening to this country and disappointed in and at times disgusted with today's young people for being so "needy" and dependent on the government for just about everything.

"Lights - camera - action" is what Obama craves. It's about being in the spotlight regardless of the talking point. As Charles Krauthammer pointed out - the strategy is to overwhelm Congress with so much stuff no one has time to actually read the legislation, ie 'the stimulus package' and now the health care package. Couple an insatiable appetite for media attention and a manufactured crisis to enable it and we have the mess we are now in. At some point our fellow citizens will see through the smoke and mirrors and sanity will return - I just hope his agenda is reversible.

Each day I wake up with optimisim and by the end of the day reality sets in and I see this nation being brought to its knees by this person we call a President.

It took hundreds of years to gain the freedom this country affords and six months to loose it. What a shame. I am just happy I am the age I am and can look back at the freedoms I had, to do what I wanted without regrets. Now we are becoming a socialistic country with our loss of freedoms. If this is what people voted for (change)their going to see a lot of it and none very positive.

Members of Congress, Senate, the president and all his administration should have to accept this national healthcare just like the rest of America.....that is IF it passes. Let Americans read the bill!!
I know Americans who are leaving the USA to escape the socialized government that will be coming shortly. We are losing are freedoms a little bit everyday. What a horrible demise of such a great nation.

Obama has no long road to the truth on Health Care. It is a short road and it is a lie. Just like everything else he has said in his first 120+ days in office.

The only transparency is in Obama's talking points. Everyone can see right through them.
We elected a liar with an agenda which he is pursuing to my detriment. I would imagine that when he is finished, 70-80% of Americans will agree with me - not him.
His agenda is a failure. He will fail and ultimately be disgraced on almost every issue. To be fair, I give Obama credit for allowing the snipers to free the Maersk Captain.
