When all the stimulus money has been spent or just disapears (like only the federal government knows how to do)and all the bailout money been is gone, who will oversee the bankrupsey of the United States of America???.

    2. Normca says:

Top 10 ? Yes, but how about that John Murtha Airport ? You know the guy who called his voters Red Necks [using it as a jab]. Almost $1 Billion to Hamas and millions to Acorn. The issue here to me is that most of the $787 billion is being held back till the 2010 election cycle to benefit the party in power.

    3. Dan, Chicago says:

Great list. I would like to see which Congressman steered the money to the wasteful project.

That's a great idea, attach the Congress persons name to the project so we the taxpayers know who not to reelect.Congress is so out of touch with the real America they think they can get away with anything! OOPS1 My mistake, real America is too busy watching reality show to give a D_____ what their Congressman does, just as long as they bring it HOME!!! Bacon-Bacon-Bacon!!!!!

    6. Truth Hurts,The Real says:

"What if I was a idiot, what if I was a member of congress but then I repeat myself" Mark Twain It would seem our federal goverment is still made up of total idiots from the top down.

    7. Bill, Sun City says:

I often felt if we could get rid of the waste in Washington, this includes Representitives and Senators that have lost their common sense along with their pet projects, deport our illegals and let their country of origin take care of them, reign in our entitlements, reward our entrepreneurs, we could probably come close to balancing the budget.

    8. Fayetteville Ga says:

Economic terrorist within our own Government. What else can I say

    9. Jerry from Chicago says:

Nearly every Democrat in Congress voted for the Stimulous bill. They didn't read it, except maybe for the parts that included their own "earmarks", but they voted to send it to the President. Not to be outdone, the President didn't bother to read the proposed legislation either, but signd it into law within 24 hours. For failing to read this proposed legislation before voting for it and signing it into law, the President and those voting for this should be impeached for absolute deriliction of duty, malfeasance in office and breach of fiduciary responsibility to the American taxpayers, not to mention criminal stupidity. If a corporate C.E.O. and its board of directors made decisions such as this, they could and would be successfully sued, both jointly and individually, for not acting in the best interests of the stockholders.

What happened to the promised posting on the internet for five days? What happened to the promise of line-item vetos foe any "earmarks" included in proposed legislation? Remember, this was legislation that was going to put people back to work immediately and therefore had to be signed into law immediately, or the world was going to blow up! Well, here we are, months later. Only 5% of the "Stimulous" money has been spent. Unemployment has grown dramatically since the "Stimulous" legislation was signed into law (and this does not take into consideration the further growth in unemployment now that Chrysler and G.M. have filed bankruptcy. The deficit is now four times larger than it was on December 31, 2008. "The Treasury is empty. We have no more money.", these are Mr. Obama's own words.

We hope that Communist China will keep buying our debt because we can't afford for that to change. I now know what hope and change Mr. Obama has been talking about over these many months.

In the face of all of this, the President and his Democrat majority in Congress, want to push through "Cap and Trade" legislation that would add another $3,000 to $4,000 a year to homeowners energy bills AND national healthcare. The cost, only another trillion dollars over 10 years and that's just to cover a third of the 46 to 50 million uninsured. Somewhere, in the Byzantine labrynth that is Mr. Obama's mind, he has reached the conclusion that these expenditures will somehow reduce and ultimately eliminate our impossible, unsustainable national debt.

Like many others, I too look for leadership from a political party that will restore the country to fiscal sanity, restore employment and restore pride in its citizens. I am looking for leadership that is more concerned with returning to conservative values smaller government, lower taxes on businesses and individuals, self reliance and the creation of economic opportunities, than with trying to appear as "nice guys" to those who believe that it is the government's job to provide for every need and want of its citizens.

When I was a kid in college, I remember a song by a group called "Alvin Lee and Ten Years After". The song was titled "I Want To Change The World". One of the lyrics of that song sticks in my mind. It was, "Tax the rich, feed the poor, till there are no rich no more." When I was 20 years old, that sounded pretty cool. Then again, I was in school, had no job, no responsibilities and was living off my parents. Now, after working in a very competitive environment for nearly 45 years, routinely working 60 hour weeks and only now earning a higher than average income, I am considered "rich" and those lyrics don't sound so cool anymore. Yes, you can tax the rich to feed the poor, but when there are no rich, we'll all be poor.

You forgot the $5B for the World Bank.

    12. SkyKing - Phila., PA says:

Why are the American people so powerless to shut down the great BO (Democrat) spending machine? Can we recall this president from ofice?

Top Ten Wasteful Stimulus Projects – not to mention each and every stimulus project is a waste along with unproductive.

    14. Lynn B. DeSpain says:

Outside of Mr. Obama wanting to be the leader of the World, what else can be said? A lot! It is the duty of all American citizens, according to the United States Constitution and its Amendments to prohibit the Federal Government from going beyond the the Laws set forth in the Constitution. We need strong people, not whiners, to step forth and continue to shout out the illegalities that this Administration and Congress are performing! Each State is an Independant Nation joined under a Common Charter, and the Constitution Protects each State and all Citizens from Dictitorial directions and orders.

Stand and make your States be heard!

      Hozro

    15. Tricia, Arizona says:

This administration is deliberately planning the destruction of the capitalist system. The economy must be destroyed so that Obama can remake America into a socialist utopia with the Chicago mob to enforce his will on us.

Late one evening I was watching CSPAN and Acorn and the SEIU were positively giddy over the destruction that has already been done. They were ready to get on with remaking this country and forcing their view on all of us…I didn't want to believe what I was hearing… Mr. Obama and all of his progressive friends do not care about the Constitution. They are walking all over it.There was no stimulus project… It was a destruction project.

    16. trippin says:

Like Bobby Jindal affixing his own name to a check poster in a big public ceremony for a project funded by the very Federal stimulus money he railed against, Republicans will be elbowing each other out of the way to get in the front of the line to take credit for the benefits the stimulus has and will continue to confer to the economy.

There is no end to the irony, as this hypocrisy comes on the heels of those same Republicans busting that economy through financial industry deregulation, making that stimulus package necessary to fill the vacuum left when astronomically overleveraged investment banks found ways to divorce themselves from the risk of the loans they sold and those loans started going belly up.

    17. trad3r1@Arkansas says:

The roots of this entire mess are greed, corruption and hypocrisy. It is said by all entering politicians ( some of whom may actually believe it ) that they will work for change, equality, and fairness to and for all. However once entrenched in the system, attitudes often change, and it is politics as usual. Every man and woman for themselves (and those close to them, of course ). Greed breeds corruption and hypocrisy is used to mask it all. Many of us complain about the CEO's which get huge pay packages, and often obscene severance for a job done poorly. Interesting that these top management giants get massive pay, and raises, while denying any employee they can even a decent wage or increase. Forcing a majority of families to require both parents to have low paying jobs just to survive.
