America is going on a big energy diet.
Cap and Trade is the policy that our government is pursuing to force Americans to limit the amount of carbon dioxide that we produce. The problem is that America relies on CO2 emitting fuel sources for 85 percent of its energy. So to force us to use less, the government wants to impose an emissions tax that makes using fossil fuel too expensive. The idea is to put America on an energy diet through forced consumption reduction. Even after changing their consumption, Americans will pay dearly:
But the high costs must be worth it, right? After all, we’re saving the planet…
If there were environmental benefits from Waxman-Markey, then maybe we could debate it.
But there aren’t.
So why is the government going do this then?
Well, let’s just say that they won’t need parking tickets anymore.
What’s this really about? Although euphemistically referred to as “climate revenue,” such a massive tax on energy consumption is bound to bring in a lot of money in tax revenue. Some politicians suggest rebate checks would offset the rise in energy costs but this scenario is highly unlikely to help most Americans. Rebates or not, the higher energy prices would reduce economic activity by forcing businesses to cut costs elsewhere, possibly by reducing their workforce, and thus doing damage that no check would cover. We turn to Kreutzer once again:

Cap and trade represents huge taxes and cost increases, which will hurt mostly the poor and the middle class. Cap and trade will give dictatorial powers to Obama and will further enrich his billionaire friends (Gore, Soros, Goldman Sachs, Obama’s Chicago Climate Exchange friends, GE, etc.) — all at our expense and at the expense of our children and grandchildren.

Human beings don’t have the power to control climate! And killing the economy will not help the environment. Poor countries can’t protect the environment. Just look at Haiti!
More and more scientists and thinking people all over the world are realizing that man-made global warming is a hoax that threatens our future and the future of our children. More than 700 international scientists dissent over man-made global warming claims. We pray that honest leaders – both Democrat and Republican – are able to save us from Obama’s criminal global warming/cap-and-trade scam.

that is just another scam and a TAX on us
all! Carbon in ANY FORM is the basic foun-
dation of ALL LIFE on earth, therefore,
how could it ever be perceived to be in any way a “threat” to the environment? The
plain TRUTH is that it is NOT. The problem
for all of us HONEST CITIZENS is the fact
that Al Gore and GE and many others like
them have invested a ton of money into the
promise from Obama that carbon emissions
will be taxed, so whoever gets on this new
bandwagon first (like Gore, etc.) will be
in a position to steal BILLIONS of our
hard-earned dollars!
Is it possible that most Americans are
so stupid as to not see this for what it
really is?? It must be, after all, more
than 50% of you put OBAMA into the White
House…
When are you going to wake up???
