Last week – passed the Iraq and Afghanistan war supplemental and Speaker Pelosi got embroiled over the waterboarding debate
This week – Energy and Commerce Committee mark-up of the cap-and-tax bill and relatively no floor activity

The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the Gang of Eight’s immigration bill on Tuesday. It will go to the Senate floor after the Memorial Day recess. All members should be aware that on the war supplemental there is a rider that restores the right to carry firearms in National Parks, a big issue for supporters of the 2nd Amendment. This is the same Dept of Interior rule that was implemented in the waning days of the last administration, and was stayed by a 9th Circuit judge (big surprise).
So please contact your Senators and urge the inclusion of this rider. Brady and her crowd are on the march, you can be sure. More information can be found on the NRA website.
