  • Cap and Trade's Cost for Average British Household £20,000

Earlier today we noted that a recent MIT study showed that cap and trade energy tax proposals would cost the average American household $3,900 per year. Fortunately for us, the enviro-left has not yet succeeded in leveling their energy tax on the American people. The British are not so lucky. The British Parliament passed their Climate Change Act last year, despite the fact that the government’s Impact Assessment did not accurately reflect what was in the legislation.

Well the British government recently released the corrected Impact Assessment and guess what? Cap and trade will cost British families heavily The Daily Mail reports:

Laws aimed at tackling global warming could cost every family in Britain a staggering £20,000 – double the original forecast.

Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband admitted the bill for introducing legislation to cut greenhouse gases had soared from £205billion to £404billion between now and 2050.

Cap and Trade “would be the equivalent of an atomic bomb directed at the U.S. economy—all without any scientific justification,” says famed climatologist Dr. S. Fred Singer. It would significantly increase taxes and the cost of energy, forcing many companies to close, thus increasing unemployment, poverty and dependence.

Aware that most people no longer believe the man-made global warming lies and don't want the evil cap and trade, Obama is looking for other words to better lie, manipulate and intimidate Americans into swallowing the global warming/cap and trade scam.

We pray that honest officials are able to save us from Obama's destructive and evil schemes, such as socialized medicine and cap and trade.

Green fuel is the democrats ersatz panicea. It is their answer for all socialist means of stopping and reversing prosperity in these united states.Regardless of what fuels industries proffer,it will not be good enough for the soc-comms on the far left.It is not there intention to develope any fuels capable of supplying the needs of American industries now or in the future. It does not take a well educated person to know that you cannot power american industry with intermittent solar and/or wind power. It is time to lay this myth to rest in the graveyard of socialism.

The graveyard of socialism, is where the the myth originated from.

The only power socialist want is power to rule.

    5. Frank Hornsby, Baton says:

I am 100% against Cap and Trade. We have hurt the economy enough with all the

stimulus pakages and bail outs. We are penalizing American Industry when China, India

Mexico, Russia and I could go on are admitting they do not plan to do anything to curb

the amount of emissions they are pumping into the atmosphere. You are also hurting the family

income by causing energy bills and everything else to sky rocket in price.

The last thing that will happen is that many more American Businesses will move to China

etc. like many have already done to be competitive in the world markets.
