Rebecca Hagelin at the Bloggers' Briefing

Speaking at Heritage, Rebecca Hagelin, author of 30 Ways in 30 Days to Save Your Family, shared some startling news with us about the decline of families in America. A point that she brought up is that when people can’t depend on their family, they turn to the government for dependence. A report from CNN started that 40% of children are born outside of wedlock.

This is an alarming trend. According to our FamilyFacts.org web site’s Top 10 findings for December 2008, married families are much better off financially than divorced or unmarried parents. Perhaps, even more alarming, is the age of the unwed mothers. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, the highest percentage of unwed mothers are women under 20.

A contributing factor to the decline of the family is that parents are increasingly letting the television set raise their kids. They are letting someone that they do not know with a different world view have an influence on what their children believe. PBS produced a documentary called “Merchants of Cool” that focuses on how media executives market to teenagers. With 200 billion dollars of discretionary spending, this is the most affluent generation of teenagers in the history of America.

This is one of the biggest problems facing our kids in American Society! Divorce!

gOD IS THE ANSWER TO THIS AND MANY OF OUR PROBLEMS IN THIS COUNTRY. WE HAVE A SO CALLED LEADER THAT THINKS HE IS THE ANSWER TO ALL. YET HE DEMANDS THAT ANY REFERENCE TO GOD OR JESUS IS COVERED OR NEVER SPOKEN IN HIS PRESENCE. PEOPLE WE ARE DEALING WITH THE DEVIL AS HE SITS IN THE WHITE HOUSE AND RULES THIS COUNTRY.PRAY AS YOU HAVE NEVER PRAYED THAT GOD WILL STOP THIS MESS BEFORE IT GOES ANY FUTHER, AS HIM TO FORGIVE OUR IGNORANCE AND THE INSANITY THAT WE HAVE GOTTEN OUR SELVES INTO.

Haven't you all figured it out yet? It is

plain that those of us who know God's will

for us understand that He has placed Obama

& Co. as one of His instruments of wrath

upon this country which has turned away

      from acknowledging His countless blessings

and patience while He waits for us to get

off our "SILENT MAJORITY" butts and stand

up against the evil surrounding us!!

We have the option to act NOW by forming

ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT against all who

have gone directly against the Constitu-

tion. "Cut off the head and the body will

die"…so start at the top and work your

way down. If we don't exercise our God-

given rights, it won't be long before we

don't have ANY, and we will only have

      ourselves to blame…

    5. Ross, Bradenton, Flo says:

Bastard comes from the old French word of banst(for barn or stable)and is defined as a person born of parents not married to each other; illegitimate child. When two of my sons called to tale me that their "room-mate" had had their sons, I told them that "son" was only half a word for their. It was met with long silence. This came after months, even years of counselling as to the shame they had brought on his child. They both married the mother of their child.

I have always advised my children as I was advised by my father and grandfather; the most important decision a man or woman will ever make is who they marry; choose wisely.

Even so, a successful marriage is never guarenteed, but chances improve with realistic family-life goals and plans, personal appraisal as to what each bring to the marriage, a sound and realistic expectations from and by each, and finally, an attituded of a 100% commitment to the marriage and to each child born to that family, no matter what!
