Don't give up! This is only the beginning!

    6. Lynn B. DeSpain says:

No true American is against the Republic of America! What the 'Tea Party' demonstrations showed to the governing bodies was simple. "All of you elected officials work for us, and good, bad, or indifferent, you WILL follow our American Citizen wishes, not your own."

I am furious at all of you in charge, while all this is important,Obama and his "puppet Masters" want to keep you riled up and not see the BIG picture of what is happening, I have been trying to get my message out, seems all of you want to do the TALKING and not LISTENING. PLEASE ALL WILL BE LOST IF YOU DON'T LISTEN..TO THIS INFORMATION I HAVE…

    10. David Venner, Soquel says:

BARB-MN IS RIGHT ON WHEN SHE WRITES ABOUT OBAMA.

OBAMA IS WORST THAN A SIMPLE EXTREMIST, SOME SAY HE IS "THE ANTI-CHRIST", I SAY HE IS A MARXIST AT HIS CORE, HE BELIVES AMERICA SHOULD BE LIKE THE EUROPEAN SOCIALISTIC COUNTRIES THAT MOST THINKING AMERICANS DISLIKE. OBAMA LIES ABOUT HIS EXTREMIST

ANTI-CIVIL RIGHTS VIEW ON OUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS. OBAMA HAS NO QUALMS ABOUT SADDLING OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN WITH TRILLIONS OF DEBT, TO BE REPAID FROM THEIR TAXES IN THE FUTURE.

SO, WHO IS GOING TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD COLLEGE OR A HOUSE THEN—ONLY THE VERY WEALTHY AND THE UPPER CRUST,SUCH AS PEOPLE WHO "CONTROL" THE GOVERNMENT AND BUSINESS LEADERS.

THE PEOPLE MUST VOTE THESE EVIL PEOPLE OUT OF OFFICE—OR WE THE PEOPLE WILL BE IN CHAINS—

    12. Lindy No. California says:

On April 15th, 2009, approximately twenty thousand individuals attended the Sacramento Tea Party, on a weekday, many taking off work to exercise their rights to freedom of speech. It was nothing described by MSNBC and ABC News.

In attendance were individuals who, in respect to ethnic color, were black, brown, yellow, red and white. Some wore denim, some wore t-shirts, some wore dresses and some wore business suits. They were of all ages, some elderly, some middle aged and some young. There were groups of youths from no particular affiliation in attendance, who were voicing their opinions.

Some carried flags, some carried signs and many stood in silent support of those who spoke. There were none noted wearing camoflauge clothing or tie died t-shirts, carrying knapsacks or smoking dope, in comparison with those who participate in antiwar rallies.

An MSNBC journalist stated some appeared to be militia members. The journalist needs to define what a militia member looks like as most of us would not be able to describe one. I believe the stereotyped appearance of a militia member is one who wears combat fatigues and carries an automatic weapon over his shoulder, with a bandolier of grenades.

However, nobody meeting that stereotype was present at the Tea Party. No citizens were carrying anything that appeared to be an automatic weapon, a firearm or a concealed weapon. No person was bearing any signs that could be interpreted as threatening.

Most persons were wearing tennis shoes, sandals or business shoes. There was nobody present, except the Capital Security and the California Highway Patrol who were wearing heavy boots and I didn't see anyone wearing combat boots typical of a militia member.

There was no offensive language used by individuals participating. There was no fighting. People stood shoulder to shoulder with one another within a crowded environment and nobody fought.

Individuals participating looked like every day moms and dads, every day grandmas and grandpas and everyday high school and college kids. They looked like everyday America.

It wasn't your protest of the Sixties–nobody smelled like sweat, patchouli or dope…there was nothing offensive about the participants. The individuals who participated were merely the formerly silent majority who live as everyday California people within everyday California neighborhoods, and whose homes are worth less than the everyday people owe on them, whose retirements are worth fifty percent of what they were before President Obama was elected and whose taxes have increased over twenty five percent during the past five years. They are simply everyday people who are trying to survive in the highest taxed area of the United States. They are simply people who were standing up and exercising their freedom of speech rights and their disagreement with the way government and its politicians are no longer representing them, as individuals.

The mass media and those in political office are in denial and don't want to believe Americans are fed up with their antics.

    13. Lindy No. California says:

It can certainly be argued politicians are out of touch with their constituents and are in denial of recognizing what their constituents desire. They don't wish to believe that the people are gathering in the streets to protest the actions of our politicians, our Congress, our Senate and our President.

Nancy Pelosi, who owns a winery, a restaurant and two homes in Napa Valley, a home on the California coast, a home, a limousine company, and numerous high rises and shopping malls in the San Francisco area, a country club in the South Bay, considerable stock within companies located within Silicon Valley and a condominium in Washington, DC., described us as "rich." Maybe she should define rich…maybe she needs to look at the clothing worn by those at the Tea Parties and determine how many of the pant suits reflected the same designers she utilizes? I saw no designer clothing, no designer suits…merely everyday clothing that everyday people wear.

She also stated the individuals were hatched from "think tanks," and were not everyday Californians. We doubt she would know what everyday Californians look like, especially in light of the elite social circle in which she travels.

Finally, she tried to demean the everyday California people by stating the Tea Parties were not something individuals would organize on their own, but something organized by a greater force. Evidently, she didn't do her homework and find the Chief Organizer of the Tea Parties in California is an Independent, not a Republican.

President Obama's representative stated the President didn't know about the 820 Tea Parties which were being held across the U.S. That is disheartening, that the President wouldn't know of what his constituents are feeling and voicing.

Department of Homeland Security Chief Napolitano chose to target those who attended and who stood up, voicing their opinions by describing them in a generalized manner as "right wing extremists," along with veterans who have fought for this country. She felt they needed to be identified and monitored by federal officials.

ABC News chose to report the signs which disagreed with Obama's stance on taxes and spending to be "racist," (something they never substantiated or displayed but merely reported, though stated they were present at a rally)

Mainstream media chose not to report on the Tea Parties, but then again, they have used their power in the past strictly to indoctrinate and brainwash, rather than report the news.

Only Fox News reported it because it was the largest citizen "uprising" in history. The other forms of mainstream media missed history.

However viewed by whomever chooses to view the Tea Party phenomenom, it cannot be disputed that a diversified population of black, brown, yellow, red and white, old, middle aged and young, male and female, gay and straight, are all united in expressing their opinions to our government officials…and the movement is growing.

And to Janet Napolitano, you don't have to send an already overtaxed FBI, ATF, Federal Marshall and other federal law enforcement personnel out to identify or monitor those who attended or support those who attended or who share the philosopy of freedom to assemble and freedom of speech…all you need to do is ask us to identify ourselves and we would readily comply before you expend even more money unnecessarily.

That way you can monitor us at our homes which you would then find from census records, which President Obama has stated he desires to personally oversee, within his own offices….

Very interesting, Napolitano's desire to identify us and veterans and have local police departments monitor us and Obama desiring to keep personal information involving us and our homes in his own office….perhaps reminiscent of the 1930s in Europe.

To quote the 60's "right wing extremist" group, the Carpenters… Could it be "…yesterday once more."

the great non partisan participation against the debts incurrred by our leaders is awesome. BarbMN – right on. As an early reader of Ed Burke, Hayek, Wm Buckley, Milton Friedman and now Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams among others, I am hopeless in terms of ever becoming a socialiast, "spread the wealth" kind of guy.

Just read Mark Levin's " Liberty and Tyranny" . Obama had better think abut changing his stripes or spots or suffer in ignominious defeat for a long time. He is very young and very wrong. He will live as a failure for a long time. I feel sorry for his kids.

"We the people" are the sovereigns of the USA.

    16. LIBERTARIAN DILEMMA says:

Limo Divers Protest Medicare Mediciad Reform Cuts, It's rumored this issue could become part of the Tea Party movement. AmeriChoice Health also rumored to take a position on this issue. Recirculate those tax dollars? Help keep limo drivers working, benefits flowing and overpaid tax dollars remain in abuse.

Medicare.gov as well as other Federal agency's encourage you to report any fraudulent activities, yet, the same government agency's were notified the way this company does business yet did nothing. Three years ago they were reported to these Federal agency's and as of todays date not only were they allowed to continue doing business but were never charged once. Protected vendor status sure, politics sure, limited government budgets sure, Federal and State officals looking the other way sure, and rather then stop these activities a strong desire not to rock the boat previals. Even with the vast changes in the laws, budgets,a hands off policy remains, you tell me what's wrong with this picture?

The Government created this monster and now they don't know what to do about it, like shooting yourself in your own foot etc. Tons of money to advance their national growth, it's market positions, tons of money for political donations, tons of money to send 75 millIon back to its home office from New York state alone, tons of money to suppot National TV shows, tons of money to pay hugh State fines, tons of money to hire the very best law firms, tons of money to pay for bribes and kickbacks, tons of money for hugh salary's and bonuses, all done on the back of the American tax payor, you see this company receives all it's money from the Federal government. Should your tax dollars be held to a higher standard? Should our government agency's responsible for there review and be held to that same standard? Should the IRS audit their corruption? Why has this company not been charged? How long can the buck be passed here in more ways then one?

Hey, it's your tax dollars don't complain now.. then don't complain later on…

ps… I know times are tough for a lot us, but it would be great to have a free limo to go to the Doctors, Pharmacy, Movies, Grocery shopping, and given free tickets for the movies. Offered soda, pop corn and hotdogs, as well as have them receive free coupons for Grocery items…Kind of makes you wish qualified for Medicare and Mediciad right?
