  • Heritage Fellow Patrols the Border

Heritage senior fellow James Carafano recently traveled to the U.S.-Mexico border and filed a series of reports which will be featured here throughout the week.

It is the fastest growing county in Arizona, with a population of over a million. Pima County’s other mark of distinction is that has more border with Mexico than any other part of the state—about 130 miles of it. All that might suggest that Pima County (over 9,000 square miles straddling the south-central part of the Arizona) would be bearing the brunt of border security violence. At first glance that does not seem to be the case in January 2008 there were about 1,000 crimes reported in the county including one homicide. Numbers for January 2009 are about the same. But, numbers don’t tell you everything, I spent the day with the Pima County Sheriff Department getting the real low down on what’s going on.

One Response to Heritage Fellow Patrols the Border

    1. Carol, AZ says:

When you go to the border and listen and learn I repsect H.F enough

      to post the truth .

The rest America MUST hear the thuth.

America has to understand that the B.Patrol has interdicted illgals with terrorist ties.

I want to read this list posted here by you.

This info has been passed on to H.L. S and ignored.

List the names of the county's of origin all of them.

Sudan, Egypt, AF. Iraq, Iran, S.Arabia, and more.

I want you to come clean with the counterband found by the B.Patrol

that includes doc. on bomb making, known terrorist backed literature with "how to instructuons"

other items like prayer rugs and Korans found by the B.P.left behind

by those too tired to carry any personal items, but some how made it across.

Please expain to the rest of us the "meaning of panty trees" .

also explain that for every one person picked-up

ten more make it through at every hour of the day and night.

Explain what "spotters mean" on the American side of the border who work in tamdem with the cartels who move their loads from MX to here.

Certainly there is coruption on the American side working for the cartels.

Expain the distances involved over hundreds of miles of rugged desert areas

The numerous hidding spots, the under man patrol stations, and the numerous decisons made to have to allows so many other to get away as others are interdicted .

Explain the danger, the fear, the darkness and lack of air support in numerous areas .

Expalin that we asked for increased drone aircraft at the border.

The cartels are now utilizing this military advantage to drop loads in the remote desert areas in AZ.

Tell America the truth and send copy's to all mainstram news media .
