Proving the old adage that no crisis should go to waste, the unelected European Commission President, Jose Manuel Barroso, has called for Europe to “speak with one voice” at the G-20 summit to be held in London on April 2. It is reported that Americans and Europeans are at odds over whether to spend more or regulate more in the face of the global economic crisis. However, this grossly misrepresents the European picture; Europe itself is at odds over what to do. The Daily Telegraph has speculated that Brussels is afraid of London siding with Washington, and attempting to compel London to tow a distinctly European line.
This epitomizes what a future EU foreign policy will look like. It will be driven by unelected, unaccountable elites, intent on reigning in the United States, and resentful of the Anglo-American Special Relationship. The United States should therefore be very wary of relinquishing its transatlantic leadership role to the European Union.
However, as The Heritage Foundation’s Dr. Nile Gardiner states, Barack Obama will head to Britain and Europe for the G-20 & NATO Summits, with unprecedented enthusiasm for the creation of a federal Europe. This is a massive strategic error of judgment, which will harm President Obama’s chance of getting real business done with America’s most enduring bilateral allies.
I may have missed this one–is either or both of these quasi- governmental agencies, ala Fannie and Freddie, in line for a bailout or stimulus? Perhaps they're just leveraging for dollars.
Obama is an idiot – He should be Impeached!
Obama is not an American citizen. He has not produced a long form birth certificate that shows the name of the hospital and attending doctor. Until that document is produced everything he has done is illegal and should be voided.
Let us resolve this foundational issue then we can move on.
G-20 sounds like a disease. Maybe it is. Probably best to stay away from it for fear of contamination!

One has to remember Europe's tradition of princely service to the People of the land. Can we really claim that the democratic thought that has come to pervail recently has served the People
well? True, most of today's unelected princes of banking and trade are not "princes of the blood" but I don't see that today's princes of democracy
have served the People as well as those "of the blood" and I dare say and perhaps worse.
We will not see any Princes that will be there in
our Best Interests! Further that none of these people are elected Officials makes one wonder how
they will have the Respect of We the People? Obama
is not the Pres. till he resolves the little detail of BIRTH!
