The Left’s New Talking Point: The $3.27 Trillion Stimulus Was Too Small

The cratering stock market and accelerated job losses are beginning to shake the left’s confidence in President Barack Obama’s economic policies. But, being the left, they don’t want an actual change from the borrow and bailout policies that have ruled both the Bush and Obama Administrations. Instead they want even more runaway deficit spending.

So Paul Krugman suggests that “the Obama administration’s economic policies are already falling behind the curve” and Talking Points Memo’s Josh Marshall says the stimulus “was too small, probably offsetting a half or less than half of the demand sucked out of the economy by the collapse of the housing bubble.”

The federal budget deficit was $455 billion in fiscal year 2008 and with President Obama’s stimulus package will rise to $1.75 trillion in fiscal 2009. The ten year price tag for Obama’s stimulus package is $3.27 trillion. How much debt does America have to go into to make the left happy?

    It is astonishing how naïve Liberals are. Yes, Krugman, I may not have the degrees and books credits you have, but you are naïve.

    I have one question, where is all this money coming from? If I hear one more Liberal say, “we are printing it.” My head will explode. Printing it is worse than running up debt. This causes hyperinflation or deflation. Borrowing it doesn’t work either. It destroys the value of the dollar and causes deflation. None of these alternatives are good.

    So, again, where is all this money coming from that is not destroying our economy? They cannot answer that because there isn’t a place. So, stop spending our money and give it back to the People and we will fix it. This will not create hyperinflation, deflation, recession, or depression. It will cause growth, wealth, and prosperity. Why are Liberals against prosperity?

    Remember when the president said he would remove all programs that do not work? Yet, more millions is going into the failures of freddy mac and fanny mae? More millions going to the corrupt acorn make-work institute? More money going into health care? ETC.

    New MONEY going ANYWHERE instead of SOMEWHERE LEGITIMATE FOR THE EQUAL BENEFIT TO ALL.

    Our local media just expressed a finding of security failures at airports across the country. we were told millions of dollars going into security. They already have the money, WHERE IS IT GOING?

THAT MEANS CUTS TO EDUCATION WHERE IT IS NOT EDUCATING. PRE-SCHOOL IS CHOICE AND SERVICING PREFERENTIALLY. GET THE GOVERNMENT OUT!!!! THAT WAS A PRIVATE SECTOR BUSINESS!!!!!!! NOW TAXPAID FREE DAYCARE!!!! COLLEGE IS CHOICE. STOP THE MANDATE AND FREE THE CHOICE AT PERSONAL EXPENSE. CUT ALL THE BIAS SPENDING VIOLATING EQUALITY OF HUMANITY!!!!!!!! THAT MEANS CUTS TO FOREIGN CULTURES. WHICH IS A LIFESTYLE OF PERSONAL INTEREST. CUT! CUT! CUT!
