  • President Reagan Saw This Coming...in 1961

As Members of Congress push their liberal agenda on America disguised as “stimulus”, it may surprise them that President Ronald Reagan saw this exact scenario unfolding, way back in 1961. His words are eerily prophetic. This ten minute address is worth a listen, if only to remember that the left has been pushing this agenda for almost fifty years. And they are about to have it handed to them on a silver platter.

“…this program, I promise you will pass just as surely as the sun will come up tomorrow. And behind it will come other federal programs that will invade every area of freedom as we have known it in this country until, one day, as Norman Thomas said, we will wake to find that we have Socialism. And if you don’t do this, and I don’t do this, one of these days, you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children’s children, what it once was like in America, when men were free.”
    –Ronald Reagan, 1961

    1. Keith Sipmann, Phoen says:

Like a modern day Nostradamus, Ronald Reagan saw the future of socialism in America. It's almost as if he were alive speaking about the current state of America. Republican's need to listen to this, and they need to listen to the People and not bow down to the socialist ideology.

    2. Stacey Phillips says:

This is what a lot of us Conservatives said, relentlessly, when people were saying they were going to vote for Obama bcs. he will bring us change and we said, "No, he will take this country down the road to socialism" and that's what he has started doing right now! We warned you that his "change" was not good! Those of you, who voted for him, despite heartfelt warnings…..you have no one else to blame but yourselves!Welcome to the USSR!

    4. Barb -mn says:

If Obama was sincere on "change" it would reflect the STRENGTH of the American people. If Obama was sincere on "change", it would reflect LESS GOVERNMENT.

Obama shows the world this country has a majority of people WEAK, IRRESPONSIBLE AND HELPLESS. STEALING FROM THOSE WHO AREN'T, INSTEAD OF LIFTING THOSE WHO ARE.

Obama is ignorant. Reagan is a Saint.

    5. Ozzy6900, CT says:

Right you are, Stacey! I gave the same warning people who were mesmerized by the Obama Campaign. Our warnings fell on deaf ears as we can see. But many of those voters are now questioning their choice, but it's too late! Now we are going to have to fix this mistake – somehow!

I just want to say that I agree with President Regan and always have. He is the gratest presedent we have ever had since President Lincolon. Let us keep all of there principles going on forever.

      Respectfully;

      Cecil C. Davies

    8. Sally Douglas, Canby says:

Being a "Reagonite" I fully agree with this recording. Being one of the "silent majority" I finally got involved in the Republican party a few

years ago. The era of Reagan speaks for itself in spite of what some would say. (Socialists?) If we true conservatives don't get off our rusty dustys and make our voices heard WE ARE DOOMED!

God help us and may God always Bless America!

    9. Huck, Greenwich says:

Reagan was the guy who kicked off the credit bubble with his relentless deregulation. LEt's not look to him for answers since he was the beginning of the problem. Regan plus Greenpsan =Depression.

    10. E, Diaz says:

How long do we have to wait and how much will we (True Americans) have to endure before we can impeach Mr. Obama? I'm afraid that four years won't be enough for this administration to fully engulf this country into a Socialist State so if Mr. Obama does not get "re-elected" what of the next guy? Each administration is built on the shoulders of the previous for better or worst.

I could say "God Bless America" at this point but has anyone considered what has America done to "bless" God?

Iceland is starting to look really good right about now.
