We need protectionism to generate the perfect storm to the Greatest Depression Ever. In 1930, Smoot-Hawley achieved the objective of loss of trade through protectionism assuring the American people that a normal recession will dive into a deep depression. We have other aspects of that depression already in place with unprecedented debt and unstoppable money supply.
Double digit unemployment, interest rates and inflation are all in the offing.
