About The Heritage Foundation
Founded in 1973, The Heritage Foundation is a research and educational institution—a think tank—whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense. We believe the principles and ideas of the American Founding are worth conserving and renewing. As policy entrepreneurs, we believe the most effective solutions are consistent with those ideas and principles.

It really is sad how many people agree with the Center for American Progress fellow.
This video is the classic argument, and marks the quintessential difference between liberals and conservatives. Is it an accident that Kvaal was placed on the left?
The problem is, that there is just too much historical evidence to prove Kvaal wrong, and prove Riedl right.
“Only government can solve this problem?” When has that EVER been true? I agree with Rush when he said that Obama’s spending program spooks the hell out of him.
I’m only 24 and just graduating from college, and I’m spooked as well.
Sad state of affairs, but the results of all of these awful and gross liberal policies will only strengthen the appeal to conservative principles. Liberal policies have always failed in the past, and they will fail again.

I guess high school civics are no longer required to graduate. Gresham’s Law is akin to the Laws of Physics. Bad, that is worthless, money will follow good.

As a 63 yr old boomer, I never thought I’d live to see the day when my country would tilt so perilously towards self destruction. Is there not one journalist out there who will stand up to the Left and start reporting truth instead of fiction? Is there not one Conservative in congress who would rather save the nation than seek an invitation to the next cocktail hour?
For God’s sake people, Wake Up!

Equality is opportunity, it is up to each individual, at his or her level of development, to make use of skills toward self-reliance.
Freedom and choice uphold opportunity.
It is not the business of ANY government to attempt to create equality by stealing from one segment of the nation giving to another.
Anything less than this understanding is you, the individual, wanting someone to take care of you because you refuse to be self-reliant.

Excellent debate Mr. Reidl.
I respected Harvard at one time. Hmm…
Only proves you get out of education what you put into it. I am glad Mr. Reidl put in what he did. And at his college was able to use his mind openly and freely and without indoctrination, looking at the angles necessary for research and honest results.
Any person from the government claiming government is the solution is obviously inducing government dependency needlessly. And seeing the people of this country as WEAK and INDIGNANT of INDEPENDENCE!
