I am saddened to learn of the death of the Great Paul Weyrich while I was working overseas.
I was priveledged to work under his direction at NET Political NewsTalk Network for four years.
Daily, brilliant minds presented ideas with passion over live television.
I was one of twenty technicians. We all believed NET was the most honorable shop in North America!
….You will be missed, Your Honor!

My symanthony and prayers go out to Paul Weyrich's family and friends. I thought the family may want to know 52 years ago we attented the same elementry school. The name of the school was "Holy Trinity School", located in Racine , Wisconsin. We were in the same classroom, and Sister Joenette was the teacher. She tought the seventh and eighth graders in the same room. Paul was always excellent in civic debates even at that age, just a young boy at the time.I recall one day , during recess, me and my friends went down to the cafetera, and he was down in the cafetera too at the time, He goes into the closet, pretending he is a raido broadcaster as me and my friends listened attentively on the other side of the door. He was really good even way back then. Suddenly the teacher comes downstairs and finds me and my friends with our ears close to the door listening to the broadcast by Paul Weyrich, Sister Joanette opened the door and there stood Paul with his immatation loudspeaker, speechless, She sent us outside to the playground as fast as we could go. For some reason I have always remembered this incident knowing There was no doubt he would do well and he did. Thought you might enjoy this little tidbit, of your loved one , May God bless you and your Family

Although I never met Paul we had a very interesting phone and email dialogue this past year. I am as liberal as he was a conservative, but we found a lot of common ground, including our love for our nation, our hope for the world, our passion for ethics and mass transit, and both of us agreed that disagreements needed to conducted with civility. We were supposed to have met just a few weeks ago, but he was not having a good day, so we postponed our meeting until the week of the Inauguration. That will not happen unfortunately, but I do send my heartfelt condolences to all those who knew him, especially his family and friends.

He made a great contribution to our commonwealth, not the least of which was the meaning he gave to what is truly the highest office in our land: "citizen".

I had no idea Mr. Weyrich was ill! I am deeply deeply sadened by his passing and will be praying for his family during this time. He was a great great man and a man of vision and promise. God willing and us able we will continue the work he started so long ago and restore America to her Republic Roots. Job well done thou good and faithful servant all in all not bad not bad at all....

Have any one noticed that Mr. Weyrich's voice was so much like President-elect Brack Obama's. Or I shall say President-elect Obama's voice is so much like Mr. Weyrich's.

I was driving 10 miuntes ago and I Heard an interview on PBS. I thought it was President-elect Obama'voice. Later I realized it actually was Mr. Weyrich's. The tone, the rhythem and choosing of words were the same...

To those who knew and worked with a great Conservative and co-founder to this and other great conservative organizations, Paul Weyrich, you have my most heartfelt condolences for your loss of this great American patriot. I will always be grateful that you provided us with a voice and a place where we could express ourselves. Your contributions to the conservative movement have been so great and profound; your loss will be felt for a long time. To his wife, children and grandchildren you all have my utmost and sincerest condolences for your personal loss. We've lost Mr. Weyrich at a time when we need his guidance, humor and insight the most. I can only hope that those he has taught over his career have learned what they need to, to carry the conservative mantle farther than even he may have expected. I believe Paul was the conservative’s version of Saul Alinsky but unlike Alinsky, Mr. Weyrich was guided by faith, hope and God’s wisdom. Rest in Peace, I'm sure St Peter is waiting and God is telling him you've done well my friend. God Blessed you!
